Well I'd have to admit to rarely having felt so deflated after a match, probably because of the euphoria of scoring after 13 seconds. Felt Chelsea pushed us back with ther incessant driving forward from midfield and that Ivanovitch caused us to shift some of our midfield effort to a defensive role. Some very disappointing performances for me above all JWP, thought he looked totally out of his depth and of course Osvaldo. The injuries and substitutions didn't do us any good either and I fear that we're now in for a bit of a struggle if Morgan and Artur are out for long. It's pretty evident that Gaston will only get a game when he's the last bloke in the SO postal district with a pair of boots and I'm not as big a fan of the Academy set up as many are. Gazzaniga just gives me the creeps, contrary to some I thought a decent keeper would have done better with at least the third goal. All we need now is for Victor to get a yellow on Wednesday and we'll take the thumping of our lives next week-end.

Just off the top of my head then. Kurzawa from Monaco, Soaré from Lille and the Bosnian bloke from Lazio, all young players who are far better defensively than Luke Shaw. You could probably get them all for the price you could (in theory ) get for Shaw. He'll probably be out again on Saturday and we'll be back to either Fox or Clyne out of position.

Still think we should take anything over say 14 million because there are better left backs for less money. I know he's only young but he looks far older and keeps on getting injured.

If they have or had so much talent why are less than 30% of PL players of UK origin? The modern game at it's highest level has surpassed the type of talent you can find on street corners and in public houses.

In a game that time has left behind, look at the old YouTube videos, they're all porky, there's no closing down and players wouldn't get the time and space now that they did then. Football has changed, the old "heroes" would be nothing in today's game.

I only put 2 players because I'd only take 2 of our ex's to play in today's side. Only 2 with the technical ability and fitness levels to be able to play today's game. People make me laugh with their Jimmy Case obsession, he'd be red carded after 2 minutes, he had no technical ability just a lot of aggression.

Bale and Shearer, I'd pass on all the rest, wouldn't be good enough or fit enough for today's game.
