Why would they want another right back though ? Clyne must be well down the pecking order.

And have the UK police re-asked all those questions of her since ?

questions pertaining to what ?

Gaston is Uruguay's youngest regular international isn't he ? Perhaps handling the constant travel and changing conditions is something that improves with age. Just can't help feeling that for a young man like he constantly returning to his roots over there cannot be anything but peturbational. I remember the Africans down at St Etienne when they came back from their jollies down in Africa, nothing to be done with them for weeks on end and after the ACON they were done for the season.

To be sure the constant involvement with Uruguay since the season started has thrown everything out of sync as far as Gaston is concerned. The PL season started about 10 weeks ago and he's spent nigh on 4 of those with the Uruguay squad. It's the same for Maya and Japan and the fact that neither of them are getting any serious game time in the PL with Saints cannot be due to pure coincidence. MP puts great store on the players training together and at an elevated work schedule, think they train twice most days so players who aren't constantly involved in that are going to be pushed out. Gaston would always be the last back after each IB as well, he'll be playing tomorrow morning UK time, game will probably finish at around 4 am UK time so by the time he gets back that'll be Thursday afty which will put him out of consideration for Saturday as likely as not. Lambert,Osvaldo and the others will probably be back for light training tomorrow afternoon.

don't often get that much time and space in the PL though. Still it's well executed. If the initial long control hits Agger's feet or legs it's another wasted ball.

He was, don't know where the idea that he might not play comes from, ITK'er perhaps.

Jordan won't beat Uruguay so the likelyhood of them not qualifying is minimal I think. Still we'll get about 1000£ a day for each player involved in Rio so that will pay him for a week or so.

why is Shaw unlikely to play, he only had tonsilitis, few meds would clear that up in 2 weeks surely.

Sochaux are crap, sacked their manager a couple of weeks back. Mayuka didn't figure in last week-end's friendly where the new manager held a review of the squad. Don't know why, injured or on international duty I've no idea.I'm afraid that he'll be sent back to us some time soon.

We might get more out of Gaston when the constant jaunts to South America are over, probably spent more time with them than he has with us since last summer, can't be great for integrating the "Southampton Way". Same thing with Maya as well I don't doubt. Uruguayan football is notably indisciplined and they seem to have some right head cases, think I read somewhere that up to 14 of their squad could be suspended for their next game (play-off against Jordan in theory) if they get a card in tonight's game.

Was that not what the Portuguese copper put forward ?

Wilfried Zaha seeks loan move, at least five PL clubs interested
Window Cleaner replied to DuncanRG's topic in The Saints
But Zaha was only young player of the year, Vydra was NPC player of the year last season. There are successes and failures but with winners like Sylvain Ewbanks-Blake and Jason Koumas I think the latters outweigh the formers. -

what does that mean with the gulf between the levels now being what it is. Do not forget KD was in the NPC team of the season and yet a worse keeper has rarely been seen in the PL, unless you count Gazzaniga that is. -

Not convinced that Moyes is over-enamoured with young players, seems to like a bit of experience in his sides. -

Fecker will probably score against us on Saturday now. -
why would Benitez want him at Naples ? Token Uruguayan or something. Naples are a decent side, they're our Arsenal you know, if you're an agent and you've a player who wants a move you spread it around that Arsenal (or in this case Naples) are interested.

What did they expect for 10 million anyway. They have players who cost double that who don't play much either. -

Perhaps similar was a clumsy word to use. The case at Clermont Ferrand has all the makings of the McCann case at first, although the difference between a tired mum nodding off in a park and a blatant abandon of 3 small children to go and eat out are not so similar. If the mother had held her nerve though we'd still all be looking for Fiona in 10 years time . All the public weeping, wailing and asking for aid from all quarters were exactly the same. The child wasn't murdered she apparently died from the results a domestic dispute but until they actually find the cadavre no-one can confirm that. No doubt the mother and step-father intended to replicate the McCanns case though. They held up for 4 months and everybody believed them apart form the odd "mauvaise langue" but in the end the mother was not sufficiently intelligent to carry it off.

Probably gives the ball away occasionally for exactly the same reason as Wanyama and no doubt Osvaldo. They just aren't used to being pressed and harassed all of the time. Only way to learn is by playing though. Gaston was sort of getting into his stride last season and then got sent off, however some of his actions are just red cards waiting to happen, most refs would have sent him off for his single legged Arkwright on Wilshere last year.
