Which should never be swept entirely under the carpet either, you never know when you might be hard up again. -

Morgan says quite clearly in his interview published yesterday that Pochettino wants to play with a 10 but for the time being he's had to adjust to accomodating both Lambert and Osvaldo. Obviously it's good for the club to have at least one England international in the side so the necessary adjustment is valid to maintain that. However as Lambert isn't going to get a look in in terms of actual playing time whilst all the others are fit the situation may not perdure for overlong. When Walcott is fit I doubt that SRL will make the 23. -

when we eventually drop Lambert and play with a "10" though. -

Dual national, live in France, coach young players for the FFF (only occasionally nowadays unfortunately) -
hence the rapid treatment with the Vodka, false alarm though, I spent 3 years with the lady in question afterwards and my dinger didn't drop off.

I'll ask him, think he's coming round for tea on Sunday. -
Lovren not having a great game for Croatia and getting crucified by Lukaku, still as long as he does it for them and not for us it doesn't matter. Then again Croatia have nothing to gain and nothing to lose so they may well be treating the game as a bit of a jolly. They know Belgium will crush Wales so they cannot win the group and Serbia are 6 points behind.

That's not an official tournament but he did play in some Euro U21 qualifiers, now whether those are official FIFA I have no idea because they fall under the hat of UEFA. -

Yes, he says Pochettino likes to play with a "10" but because Dani and Rickie are pure strikers then he's had to adapt that element of our game. From that you have to conclude that he can't justify dropping Lambert or not starting Dani so the 10 role which you'd think would fall to Gaston has been shelved for the time being and our systems have been adapted accordingly. Morgan also says that our systems change every 3 or 4 games because otherwise the opposition know just how to counter them. . -
Without MV7s scrambles early in the game last Sunday we might well have been in the crapper. Don't rate Foles really but as it's the Bucs it's as well to give Vick a break provided he's suited up ready if Foles starts trying to play out of his league.

What you have to understand is that Deschamps is obsessed with Victor lookalikes in CM, he doesn't want them to do much just recover the ball and pass it 5 yards, preferably backwards. You also have to have either played in full internationals before or be in a CL side. Morgan has no chance whilst Deschamps is in charge, if he's not even had a pre-convocation it means he's not even on their radar. If he wants to be a full international whilst Deschamps is in charge he has 2 choices, move to the Arse or explore the possibility of changing nationalities. -
Tipped half a bottle of vodka over mine once, suspect sh@g at Puerto Banus.

Fellaini starting for Belgium as well, so much for months out with a sprained wrist then. NB Lovren starts for Croatia.

think he means solid. Says "No I don't want a physique like Lambert, I wouldn't be able to move if I did (laughs) But you can't imagine how solid he is................... -
Don't know a lot about the event or it's raison d'être but at £25 a throw they're certainly milking his notoriety to the maximum. Bloke hasn't played for what 10 years but folks still consider paying good money to hear others talk about him a privilege..

I must have missed a joke I think, vis a vis simply means with reference to or concerning. Still can't be any worse than my daughter explaining acid rain to me in English. -

Automatic translation for you, makes sense in French though. What's translated as shaft really says spine or central axis. -

Exactly, total confirmation that in the SPL Victor was getting an easy ride most weeks. Until he adapts to the intensity of the PL he's going to look flustered and make a few iffy passes. -
Of course but then his "raison d'être" wouldn't be to make opposition fans enamoured of his style now would it.

An interesting insight into Pochettino's systems, trouble is it's in French but I'm sure you can all run it through translators. There's a fair bit of it and I don't have time right now. http://kickoff.blogs.lequipe.fr/?p=1003 -
The only thing most of them would take note of is that Utd lost at home again. The result may largely depend on who comes through the bout of international matches unscathed or at least undiminished. An injury to say Rooney,RVP or Carrick wolud improve our chances whilst an injury to Lovren would improve theirs. As we have less players on international duty than they have the odds may well be in favour on that one. Their joust with Sociedad three days later may well infulence the composition of their side as well especially with players like Valencia and Hernandez although I don't actually know whether Mexico have games or not.

Wow, didn't expect the Giants to be 0 and 6 at this stage, Eagles lead the division at 2 and 3. Must be a while since that happened in the NFC East.

We did, every day in some cases. -
Because you're overdoing it on the day you run 1-2 hours and start the next run diminished. To be effective training (as opposed to an erratic run/don't run pattern ) needs planning where each session takes account of those around it. So you plan it that when you've done a hard run, which can be a long run, you recover with a short and less intense run the following day. Anyway 5 days a week is by far enough to run an average marathon (and I don't mean 5 hours there) If you train correctly virtually anyone can approach Jimmy Saville's runner/jogger threshold of 3hrs 30.

I take the attitude that if he's been cast aside n favour of the hard tackling Wanyama it's because he wasn't quite good enough in some department or other that's all. If we'd have dropped Morgan and retained Cork I'd have said the same thing. Something or other in Cork's make up has led the current coaching/management team to think that there's something that could be bettered.
