I see that PSV Eindhoven are abandonning stripes for a solid red shirt this year as well, ostensibly because it's their 100th anniversary, maybe some traditional basis for that. Stripes seem to be less and less in vogue. Sponsorship perhaps. I know in the UK we have a unique shirt sponsor but in some countries they have several and I can only think the white sleeve patches on our new kit are more designed with that in mind on a global basis.

1st of July is just a random day as it's when the players report back to the club. However if we could get the majority of the signings in by the time we set off for our training camp that would be very handy. Given that those who are international duty probably won't attend the start of the camp anyway a few more souls would be handy. I'd suppose that all who aren't part of the first team plans for next season won't be going to Austria and Catalonia either.

Apparently we were trying to sign Benjamin Mendy along with Arsenal and Sunderland. Think he's set for Sunderland now though as neither we nor Arsenal met Le Havre's asking price. Left back I think.

perhaps we don't sell enough to make a tailor made kit commercially viable. Doubt if Adidas just do it all for free. We obviously aren't going to play in stripes for the forseeable future so any other kit is as good as another. Then again perhaps trying to change our sponsor and apparently failing set us back in time so that at the end of the day we had to go for an off the peg jobby.

What happened to Arsenal and Man U then ? player is not worth 12 miilion £ and they obviously knew that. If I was Celtic I'd pay the jokers their million £ and ship him off to us for the £11 million remaining, window of opportunity will bang shut soon.

Only the wearer counts and as I wouldn't be seen dead in a replica shirt it just doesn't matter to me.

the agent has Wanyama by the balls because he no doubt signed a contract giving them 10% of any transfer fee. Celtic won't pay it, neither will the player so unless someone else does the deal won't happen for a while until Celtic decide to pay it out of their transfer fee. A contract is a contract and can be legally enforced ever if it is totally unreasonable..
