  1. No player from the SPL is an unrealistic target for any EPL club or even a top NPC club. Their season is all about a couple of preliminary rounds in the CL and exciting away games at Inverness Caledonian Thistle and St Mirren. What is unrealistic is paying a lot of money for any of them. Then again with NC I don't expect we'd pay over the odds and talk of 10/12 million £ is just the usual agent bollix. look at what we were supposed to have bid for Hooper, 8 million £ wasn't it, doubt it was even half of that. If we'd really bid 8 million they'd have snatched our arm off. SPL average attendances 2012/13 Celtic 46917 Hearts 13163 Hibernian 10489 Aberdeen 9611 Dundee Utd 7547 Dundee 5943 Motherwell 5362 Kilmarnock 4647 Ross County 4430 St Mirren 4389 Inverness CT 4038 St Johnstone 3712 and even Hearts are into Admin, there is no future for serious football in Scotland. We need to let Celtic join our league and let the rest of them fade away.
  2. do you mean Zone 51 ? It's a geographical zone in Nevada, known to be a base for state of the art and experimental technology. As we all know about it you can bet your old boots that they're now up to about Zone 95. I mean recently we all found out (well some of you did) about electronic eavsdropping on a grand scale, everybody does it and you can be sure that what you know is just the tip of the iceberg.
  3. no, we're talking about journalists in general . Being a journalist doesn't necessarily mean you know what you're doing or knowing anything about your subject. Read Scoop, Waugh might not have been so wrong as all that.
  4. perhaps in the SPL he can but that is akin to Sunday League football on occasions.
  5. I use to date a journalist, she did a decent BJ and that was about the sum of her "talents". Oh yeah she wrote an agony aunt column for a Woman's Weekly but she let me do it most of the time and let me assure you my journalistic talents are sub zero.
  6. but Liverpool,Spurs and Arsenal aren't bidding for Wanyama, hope he goes to Cardiff or Stoke cos there's a cold to be caught here. 5 million and that's a generous offer.
  7. 12 million £ ??? We could get someone with a proven top flight record for that. Really for a player from the SPL that is far far too much. There's a reason why the record transfer fee is about 7 million £, it's a sh*t league and even duffers look good.
  8. Isn't Martin signing for Coventry ?
  9. well I don't know about England but in France "les provinciaux" live on the other side of the A86 to the Parisiens, it used to be the periph but now it's the circular motorway.
  10. I can well understand the two midfielders not signing for us, they probably realise that the pairing we have in place already might well consign them to some realistic bench time. Depends if they want to play or just get paid. Not worried about signing either of them. In fact in the case of Wanyama I'd think it quite a good thing that he doesn't cos to me he has the distinct possibility of being a 10 million £ dud.
  11. bugger, up to there it sounded like a good base for a bit of a philosophical discussion.
  12. doesn't buy sheep though, guess that lets Cardiff out.
  13. Anyway he won't go to a club not involved in European competition, a couple of years back the PL was the Valhalla of football but now if you're not in Europe you can't get top players (unless you have them already and they believe in the Chairman's project).
  14. He was at the last WC, loooked OK for a young player...if you could ignore the f*cking trumpets long enough to watch the game that is.
  15. and with reason, they might not get a one-off win against Barca next season and the window of opportunity will be closed.
  16. yes we were aware that we will be paying him 20K a week for absolutely F/all for the foreseeable future. Won't get any game time here either.
  17. I should like to see some rumours start up about actually offloading some of our surplus to requirements player who CNDAJFU next season. Salarial mass must be pretty meaty just now. Don't need it weighing us down for too much longer.
  18. and when you got there you'd find german towels on all of the sun loungers.
  19. or that we won't need too many more points to cement our top 6 place
  20. don't need him anyway, we've already got 5 CBs plus some young pretenders. Astori no doubt turned us down so we bought Lovren.
  21. He thinks it's just agent bollix http://www.caughtoffside.com/2013/06/03/arsenal-in-talks-with-celtic-as-victor-wanyamas-agent-issues-come-and-get-me-plea-on-behalf-of-his-client/ Low profile agent probably working out of his depth. http://www.transfermarkt.com/en/extratime-s-l-/details/berater_189.html
  22. try for some edible millinery as well
  23. Only 1 striker at Benfica worth that much and it isn't Cardozo. Now Rodrigo is something different.
  24. nah but this bloke is a serial offender. Current status banned from driving, 4WD confiscated and awaiting trial for driving when banned twice. Just can't get it through his bonce that when you've been convicted of offences, your 12 points have become -5 (or something like that) your licence has been taken away you've gotta stop driving. Shows that the bloke just lives for himself and has no respect for anyone. Sort of bloke you need to steer clear of.
  25. takes time, the days of Clough+ Taylor knocking on the door of the player's house of a Sunday morning are long gone.
