don't know, don't much care, he's not up to first team standards yet and certainly isn't a CM candidate because their work involves defending which means winning aerial duels and the lads's about 5ft tall.He can say what he likes but he needs to show he's better than Lallana and Davis before he'll get anywhere near a first team start again. Strange how some get BBB attitudes when they get near the England setup at any level.

none of that happening about PSG though -

why would we play Toulouse exactly. If we're going Switzerland/Austria again we'll play Swiss sides or Austrian sides, mind you PSG are doing Austria this year, now PSG-Saints in Austria...that would be a pre-season game but as they've already got 2 games lined up I doubt that it's on the cards. Perhaps Salzburg or rapid Vienna, then we can compare our result with those of PSG. -
all now gone except Britt ? You've got to be good to play in the PL.
-
didn't matter anyway. Whole thing looks like a bit of a chore to the Japanese, they've qualified for the WC already, don't think they're interested overmuch in the CC. Think they've only got 2 Japan based played in their squad, all the rest play in Europe and look ****ged out, Japan one day, Jordan a few days later then Brazil, whereas Brazil they've played 2 home friendlies. Japan didn't look any worse than the French against Brazil, in fact probably a bit better.
-
1 place higher in the PL =1100 season tickets...
-
won't find many better CMs than those that we already have, we need a striker before any other position now, a real one.
-
thought Maya played up until the West Brom game and just missed the last 3 through some sort of minor injury. Could have been simply dropped though. Then again knowing that he had a full summer of games to come perhaps we just rested him a bit. Anyway Brazil-Japan this evening, competitive football at last.
-
wasn't Maya injured for a while ? Or did the Olympics and the constant games for Japan just catch up with him ? Must have played nigh on 50 games last season.
-
wouldn't think a 10 million £ winger is beyond our means, next years revenue from tickets + TV will probably exceed 80 million.

He's a national hero round these parts, "Verts" country around here, if you don't know all about every St Etienne player since 1920 you're considered as a bit of a nonce. Aimé Jacquet comes from a village about 15 miles from here. You also have to hate Lyon nearly as much as you hate Pompey (I said nearly)
-
Probably go down to Pompey, see what a third world country looks like.

Platini junior is a director of a sports equipment manufacturer owned by the same company as PSG, Burruda Sport. In the main Platini junior is a legal advisor in France to all PSI activites and not PSG in particular.

But at CB having a regular pairing is important in my view. We'll have to decide on 2 and fit the others in when needed.

but Griffit weighed about 45 kilos when he came here. Doubt if Dyer was ever that lightweight. -
Think we'll let the Astori thing go now, unless we have plans to play Lovren elsewhere than at CB. We probably just pumped that up a bit this week (or last) to get Aulas to agree to our 8+2 offer and not pay 10 outright.

And to describe Kenton as "exciting" well that's far fetched. Don't know which forum it was on but I warned you all about Griffit, he was just too small for top level football. Why he was built up to be some sort of future star when he'd just played a few French league 2 games (Blue Sq level at best) stumps me. -
think we'll start with Maya and Lovren at CB anyway. We'll have to see where Forren fits into the plan, can see Jos leaving though..
-
don't know about a full back, Lovren can play there on both sides.
-
Really ? I thought Laurent Platini was just a legal advisor to the company that owns PSG. He used to be a legal advisor to PSG a few years back but left them for the Lagardere group and then went to PSI (who own PSG). Didn't know he was on PSG board if in fact they actually have one. Platini is on record recently as a critic of PSG's spending.
-
Platini played for St Etienne, doubt if he's a fan of PSG. Anyway there is now an investigation into some of PSGs recent transfers. Might even get kicked out of the CL.

Woah there, not so much of the Gazza, in fact I expect Cropper to pass him in the pecking order next season. -
probably because previously to that he only had a million dollar buy out clause. New contracts don't always mean that the player earns more money or even that the club wants to keep him, it's just everybody protecting their interests.
-
yes that's how it's being reported in Lyon.
-
Like yer average Lyon fans knows anything about football. I work out of Lyon on occasions and the few that I've spoken to this week seem to think that Aulas is cutting off his nose to spite his face. Then again he's got a bit of a track record for that hasn't he. Remember this is the bloke who paid 28 million euros for Gorcuff.
