..and so who's going to be captain .....
Window Cleaner replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
perhaps we had a Barca inspired epiphany about a local boy being captain. Either that or Fonte doesn't want the responsability on a permanent basis. -
until you remember that Lambert didn't start the first game of the season, now why that was I either don't know or can't remember, but for our first appearance in the PL under the new regime Lambert wasn't considered to be irreplacable. Mind you whatever the point that someone was trying to prove was, playing Guly at CF wasn't the best way of doing it.

I'll tell the wife to pick up a barrel when she goes to the corner shop.

what just go to work at 1314 metres altitude where it will be no doubt below zero and miss the hottest day of the year ? what sort of plan is that. Anyway with a tsunami might be some good surfing to be had, not that I've ever done any surfing mind you.

Might take a day off and go to the beach on Friday then.

Return of the Native ?? I wonder if Clym's mum turned into a zombie after getting bitten by a adder.

Hmm Venn, Reddleman, now there's a profession that you don't get much call for these days. Wonder if there are online reddle sales. Mind you, you don't get many girls called Thomasin either. No wonder the world is ending

he was supposed to sod off to Oz anyway but kinda didn't or not for as long as expected. Don't know if there's much factual base to a lot of the stuff he posts anyway.

I could believe it, wouldn't make any much less sense than some of our other summer transfer activity, in fact it might rationalise some of it.
-
nobody is irreplacable, certainly not footballers. I think we could easily pass on Lambert with the right recruitment and game plan, might even get better, who knows.

Mid-table?? Need about 50 points so that's another 35 in 22 games then. Winning about half of our remaining games. Boy are we in for a treat. We'll do well to stay up.

City weren't all that good really, first 2 goals were gifts. Just can't see what anybody sees in that Tiote. -

part of the problem is Ba, inconsistent and can't seem to play with Cissé. They'd be better with a brick crapper CF like err Carroll. -

watched most of that game today, Newcastle have serious problems, absent at the back, awful in midfield and erratic at the front. If AP keeps them up they should give him a life contract. -

As I said in the post match, if we'd have had a bit more up front in the Anfield game we'd have got something. We need to revisit our attacking options because Lambert can be predictable ands Lallana is often wasteful in front of goal. -

I suspect that they are out of the country just now. -

Old hat, doesn't interest the young postgrads nowadays, far too much known about it, -

Scientists will believe anything possible if you give the a grant for researching the "phenomenon". When they stop believing they'd have to get a real job.
