He was a Japan regular and now he's on their scrapheap (which takes some achieveing) because he isn't playing. Situation can't go on for him like that. We kind of know he's on about 20K a week and for a player who has no chance of a PL start seemingly that's surely not acceptable to the management. Plus it won't do our standing with the Work Permit Committee any good at all, we told them he was an exceptional talent.

The Qataris that own PSG wanted Taraabt at all costs but Leonardo who actually runs the club only offered QPR 6 million for him. QPR wanted about 15 million and said no dice. Caused a bit of animosity between the owners and Leonardo and ever since they've been paying over the odds for average players.They've spent about 300 million so far and still got knobbed by a Rennes side down to 9 men yesterday. So there are plenty of "idiots" about and QPR will just wait for another to come along. I presume Taraabt will be off to the ANC in January anyway.

A lot will depend on Cabaye's status I'd guess. He pulled out of the French squad midweek with some sort of muscular problem and didn't play yesterday. Whether that was because of the 5 day rule (Like Cissé) or whether he's still not fit I just don't know.

I put it to you that the "transfer committee" established a preferred starting 11 and NA took a lot of time to overcome that.
