  1. Taking a new job wouldn't necessarily change the amount Spurs would have to pay him. Depends on what would be agreed. I seem to remember saints were paying Stuart Gray long after he found another job.
  2. You can judge nothing by comparing it to England's side, Hodgson is an old idiot and just stabs a pin in a list of players that the Sun and the Mirror give him to pick the team. All the best players in the Prem are not qualified for England. I mean he picked AOC didn't he ? Absolutely idiotic selection policy. Look at last weeks squad Wilshere with 1 game under his belt, back in the England squad.
  3. 1 week's more likely. Bloke has been here what 3 months now, nigh on 650K wages for a goal and about 350 minutes of football. Whoever injured him in a kick about needs hanging.
  4. It will depend entirely on whether our league position is recoverable or not. In my opinion of course. 10+ points adrift of 17th and we'll let it go as it is. 2 more consecutive losses and we're probably there already.
  5. So with a bit of fag packet maths you get the impression that we've spent(or committed) an amount roughly equal to our guaranteed share and that all other costs for the season are being met by season ticket and match day sales. As we must have a salarial mass somewhere up around 25 million a year by now we can't be exactly flush with the old folding. Pretty convinced that we'll see big outs before big ins in January. No major outs, no major ins.
  6. I think the point being missed by most here is that the affair had already gone to ajudication in the summer and we'd been ordered to pay what we owed at that time. As we didn't the contractor had to seek a legal solution.
  7. Anyone who would pay 7.5 million for Dawson would be immediately sectioned.
  8. no I doubt that you did, I remember that as well, which is why I am veering towards being persuaded that we are no longer part of any Liebherr Empire.
  9. Omnishambles is the word of the year apparently. Just right now I think it might well be used to describe SFC. Is this like a county court judgement that affects your credit rating ?
  10. I am not a fan of today's Italian football, too wimpy as their abject display against the French the other night showed. You do have to ask yourself though how many Italian "Stars" have really made it in the PL . English football is something different and many a really good player hasn't made the grade but has refound his qualities on returning to some other European league. Midfield in the PL must be one of the hardest ever places to play.
  11. I really, really doubt that the Liebherr family (or Markus's branch of it anyway) has anything more to do with the club whatsoever. NC runs Markus's mainstream industry as well.
  12. Never mind the quality feel the width (or in this case the price tag).
  13. If you read the comments section attached to the article I think you'll see the pertinence of "Linesman's" comment. Was just thinking along the same lines myself. Did I not suggest that there is no-one above NC just a couple of weeks back?
  14. If we' had something to dispute wouldn't we have sent a defence to the court though? Especially as the case had already been referred to a tribunal.
  15. Just goes to show that not all the rumours of the club being bad payers are without foundation.
  16. Not to blokes like Benitez. They want success, they've already got all the money they'll ever need.
  17. Like any of us bottom dwellers would interest Benitez.
  18. OOOH how exiting, wish I had an agenda now.
  19. The spending was wrong....that's the whole crux of the matter. We blew 7.6 million in May or June on an NPC hotshot that we didn't need just to show we could. Our season comes down to that one mistake because when we should have been signing a keeper and a partner for José we were running after JRod. We had pre-emptively decided that Billy Sharp wasn't PL material but we still bought an NPC striker with less goals to replace him.
  20. Is this thread in code of some sort ?
  21. totally irrelevant as we've spent nigh on 50 million £ on players and racked up another 30 million in losses since then.
  22. Well we could take out a defender to make way for Mayuka....everyone knows defenders are just there to make up the numbers right ??:rolleyes:
  23. Much too crude, what's wrong with the good old Thalium umbrella spike ?
  24. In fact the fact that he isn't "gone" probably means someone somewhere has reason for him not to be.
  25. The answer is perfectly simple. The government should employ him as an intercommunal advisor and immediately send him on a fact finding mission to Gaza. I think we could count on the West's Guard Dog to do the rest.
