An EPL manager on less than 10K a week ? Difficult to believe, especially in the UK with it's inflated salaries everywhere.
-
why would he not be ? Uruguay can't be more than a 7 hour flight away, I've done days trips to New York before.

Newcastle target Lallana rumour in Daily Mirror
Window Cleaner replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
was it not categorically stated on this very forum that he "loves it here and wouldn't mind staying even if we're in the NPC" :smug: Anyway those of you who have suffered my rantings for many years will know that I'm not Lallana's biggest fan, not good enough in front of goal for a top class attacking player. -
Newcastle target Lallana rumour in Daily Mirror

I'd sell Lallana for the right price, get a real winger because we already have Gaston as a playmaker. -
still probably not much agent's fee involved, seems to be a prime factor in our recruitment.
-
I'd drop Rickie back a notch and go with Mayuka.
-
so that would mean a work permit application might be difficult then. Don't think they'll believe us when we tell them he's an exceptional talent again, not with Tadanari Lee and Mayuka rotting in the U21s.
-
Does he follow the pope on @pontifex
-
So we were or still are looking for a replacement manager then. NA probably needs 2 of 2 or Di Matteo will be in.
-
Another one of these young men who look incredibly middle aged.

The Southampton Transfer Committee...

I wouldn't, at least not until Mayuka had missed a couple of sitters. -
as long as he's not absent on Saturday does it really matter why he went to Uruguay ?
-
And where exactly would he have seen him playing? In Switzerland...joke league, anyone would look good there. You'd have to say though on looking at the obligatory goals video that the player has an eye for goal which we'd seem to need just now. However as a straight up and down number 9 and as dropping lambert is taboo it isn't going to happen for a while, maybe when NA eventually gets the sack.
-
don't see that, Gaston isn't a real goal ace and if the chances that he creates aren't put away by others there's not much he can do about it, apart from going for goal himself and then as we've seen he often loses the ball. We need more efficiency in front of goal and for that we need to increase the ratio of chances converted by Lallana and Lambert.
-
next 2 games will determine our fate. Win both and we'll probably Ok, win one and draw one touch and go, lose either and it's all over. We should be OK by now but we threw away 4 points because we have an untried rookie in goal, now our future probably depends on 2 crunch games.

probably why NA is still in the job actually. -
In fact there was a piece about Gaston in L'Equipe recently. They seem to think we paid 15 million € to Bologna and 3 million€ to Penarol for him. Says his annual salary is around 2.5 million euros. Anyway there's a quote from him in the piece that says no-one in Italy could afford him as there's no money.

Rubbish, wouldn't be the first (or last) footballer to be "loving it here" and then p*ss off 5 minutes later. Footballers are very simple beings in the main, being over the moon and sick as a parrot are just two stages in the wellbeing spectrum. Still no doubt there's nothing sinister in any of it.
-
probably get most of them for the price of 1 Gaston.
-
tried, totally incomprehensible.
-
not overly fussed anyway, if we can get our money back there may be players available more suited to our immediate needs.
-
that's what they said about Tevez though
-
I expect Lee to be gone very soon, he's not getting any PL time and he won't want to play in the Junior sides. Out of the door as soon as the window opens, probably back to Japan although german football seems to like japanese players.
