  1. probably why they came undone after 80 minutes then.
  2. Don't know if he goes down easily by intention, Gaston is a pretty tall bloke and from looking at him I'd say he might have a bit of a high centre of gravity. Thus even if he gets a tap on the ankles when he's going forward he'll probably go ass over tit. Then again he is a Uruguayan
  3. he thinks he did and from just the above photo I'd tend to agree with him because it's not just about feet. If 2 players have their feet on the same line but each is leaning forward in the direction that they're playing the attacker is offside. Little known fact perhaps.
  4. decision that stated being "nearer to an opponent's goal line" meant that "any part of his head, body or feet is nearer to his opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent. think that should clear it up, JRod knee is evidently nearer than any part of the Toon defender's body(arms don't count) so at that instant he's offside.
  5. Extremely unlikely. Deschamps seems to prefer players playing in France unless they're global names with a long history of previous selections. Capoue,Sissoko,Matuidi and Gonalons are probably no better than Morgan but Deschamps and his people see them more often. You only have to have followed the recent episode concerning Phillipe Mexes to know that DD doesn't like looking far afield unless the players are in the CL.
  6. Pardew has obviously got him rattled.
  7. don't call lambert stupid, you'll rattle Roger's cage
  8. do what, we swapped him for Tommy Forecast. Must be a great keeper.
  9. ooh sounds like Dave's got an agenda
  10. our defence still worries me, I do not rate Gazza, bet he f*cks up at least once today, hopefully there'll be a Saint at hand to hack it off the line;
  11. Not so great, Cissé and Ba both start for Newcastle.
  12. unchanged starting line up, Guly on the bench instead of Fox.
  13. so if Shaw doesn't last the distance that would mean that Clyne will go over to the left and either Cork will drop back to RB or Richardson will be available then. Please no Yoshi at LB at any time whatsoever, even the last 10 seconds
  14. he looked pretty slow all afternoon quite frankly. Nowhere near as good as Theo. 12 million £ that they won't get back methinks.
  15. depends on what Villa do this afternoon doesn't it ?
  16. He probably doesn't see himself as crooked. Anyone who has any knowledge of London's East End in the 50/60/70s would tell you that Harry is a pretty straight sort of guy compared to normal behaviour there. Went to the Blind Beggar once, couldn't even pick the gangs out from the rest.
  17. As a generalisation....Alright when they're young, go downhill fast at about 35, like Spanish and Italians really.
  18. because Newcastle played on Thursday evening ?? It's standard practice to move games back a day. ie if we were playing today we'd probably play Norwich on Tuesday and not Wednesday.
  19. Probably needs to win 9 out of 26 (about 35%) and get 5 or 6 draws. No easy task really.
  20. falsies, fairly recent in the photo too, I can tell from the tan lines.
  21. We put out our jokest side at Leeds, we had no interest in winning whatsoever, probably some sort of contractual thing.
  22. Just out of interest aren't those pretty big norks for your average Japanese woman ? My last "visit" was a long time ago but I seem to remember most of them being on the small side.
  23. oops wrong bloke
  24. Harry won't say that. QPR have good players, Hughes didn't get anywhere near the best out of them. Depends if he can remotivate Taraabt, think they've worked together before at Spurs. QPR should never have blocked his move to PSG.
  25. Cork or Stephens, take your pick. I'd go Stephens myself leaving Corky in midfield
