trouble is you can't keep every player who's reaching the end of the road on as a coach or in PR. I mean we've got Jaidi as some sort of ambassador to Africa, Dodd as coach to the U18s etc. At the end of the day you end up with a massive wage bill for some pretty obscure functions. Not sure that there's any actual quote in the article which confirms the Echo's assertion that no more players will go out on loan. As far as I can see it just rules out Lee and De Ridder. I mean KD is hardly likely to make any impact from the bench is he ?

not so easy playing in midfield. If you're an attacker and you f*ck up it isn't the end of the world, lose the ball in midfield and it's far more serious. Midfield in top flight teams is a hard place to play. You don't get too many credits for what you do well and you get a lot of stick for stuff that you do less well. Look at the idiots who are always criticising our midfield on this very forum; Lambert and Lallana have an off game..meh, Morgan,Cork or Davis..we need new players.

Bet the bookies are pleased, they can now trouser all those next sacking bets on odds on candidates like Nigel and Hughes.
