the difference being that the Dutch First Division isn't all that great and results and survival aren't hard to come by. Why even the woeful De Ridder was a big star in Dutch football. Could we find a goodly number of our youth players that are better than De Ridder...well obviously we could. These are per game figures although I've no idea how accurate they are, site seems to be well documented though. So 9 games at 50 long balls a game is 450 in total but as we have a couple of players who can spray it about pretty accurately long balls might mean much more than hoofing it up the middle.
