  1. Which is kinda what our illustrious chairman said we would be doing, living within our means and not spending money we don't have.
  2. I thought Carroll looked handy when he came on for West Ham the other day, he's the type of player who's presence will always cause panic in defences.
  3. Now if I remember rightly wasn't JRod the one striker against Citeh, how did that work out for us? Subbed a bit after half time wasn't he ? Nothing has so far proven that JRod can adequately replace Lambert in our set up, when he did it was not so good.
  4. Just as our players won't be picked for England as first choices and not as last minute call ups whilst we keep losing. Not that it matters though, thought Lallana might get his chance again though if only against San Marino.
  5. Suited to our immediate needs being the operational phrase.
  6. But as I saw it on the link that Turkish put up we have secured this loan against everything we own or are likely to own in the near future, perhaps I've interpreted that wrongly though.
  7. Not J Rod no, I just will not accept that he is any better suited to our immediate needs so far than Billy Sharp, won't won't won't.
  8. [quote=tajjuk;1493443 - - - We bought the wrong players in the summer. - This is the real fact, all the rest are incidental
  9. Which is just as well because as I'm told were not going down we won't be getting any.
  10. you forgot Buttner, any player who leaves us with Fox as first choice left back for the sake of a couple of bob more from Man U where he doesn't actually get a game very often needs to rethink his civic duties.It's like running over a nun on a zebra crossing.
  11. With our defence nothing is less certain than getting to a position where his long term project can be realised. Two more losses in the next 3 and we're probably goners.
  12. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/28/catarina-migliorini-brazilian-woman-auctions-virginity_n_1922579.html the poor being mainly herself I think. Ludicrous really, 190K dollars for something you can usually get for free in most Uni residence halls in October...after that forget it.
  13. Did you put in a bid to sh@g that Brazilian virgin with the money then. some people have more money than sense, who'd want to pay 190,000 dollars to sh@g a virgin when you could probably find one outside your local McDonalds for the price of a Big Mac. I must have done at least 5 or 6 during my Uni days, good job it was free then.
  14. Well that sum includes the original purchase price as well I think plus all the outlay from day 1 up until our promotion to the NPC. Not at all sure that it incudes anything concerning the transfer of AOC and increased revenue in the NPC, getting us back even to the NPC cost a lot of money because our player salarial mass was enormous for a League 1 club.
  15. the question we should be asking really is how much our seeming lack of readies has effected team strengthening. Did we have what we needed or did we have to cut our recruitment because we couldn't muster enough to get the job done. Back in the summer everyone assumed that we could buy whatever we wanted (well within reason). If we needed to borrow to make ends meet then perhaps JRod and Ramirez weren't the best investments for the sum we had available.
  16. No Saints players then, in fact not playing for us seems to increase your chance of an international cap. Fox is in for Scotland isn't he ? Chambers and Stephens were up for the U19s but JWP got the boot.
  17. hah found it http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?11744-How-much-would-you-put-in-to-own-our-club&highlight=pledge
  18. this was never so well proven as when Saints were in dire difficulty. There was a thread which covered hypothetical pledges for saving Saints from extinction (as if that was a reality,Portsmouth are still going aren't they). The sum "pledged" was astronomic, maybe as much as 8 million £ and many believed that that sum could actually be recolted to buy the club out. Any 5 year old could click on I pledge 5 million £ so the poll was entirely worthless much to the surprise of many. Now if we couild dig that thread up we could all have a laugh.
  19. People sent Elsie Tanner wedding presents and turned up for Ena Sharples funeral, some have difficulty with reality and fiction it would seem.
  20. And we're still at least one CB and a decent LB short but as I've said beforehand, perhaps we just didn't have the money to pay for the required quality everywhere on the field, which makes blowing 7 million on J Rod and loaning out Sharp in the wake of it even less comprehensible. Unless of course we really did consider selling Lambert, which i doubt;
  21. as if that's very likely :rolleyes::rolleyes:
  22. Anyway you need to look at the percentage of accurate long balls to make any sense out of the numbers.
