listening to his pre-match interview gives you the impression that NA is committed to "attractive football" at all costs. Now whether that's his credo or club policy I just couldn't say. However if he sees entertaining the fans as more important that winning (or even not losing) then I feel for his future in one of the world's toughest leagues. Cos at the end of the day losing is never particularly entertaining, I'd prefer winning ugly to losing pretty, at least when there's relegation as an eventuality at the end of the season. We can play pretty next season, this season is about survival and nothing more.

I am an extremely clever bod but unfortunately for you I have no artistic attributes whatsoever, and even if I did I'd probably want to exploit them financially, sign of the times really..:smug: Get your local art school to do it, they'll welcome the opportunity.

A lot of pessimism about this game then, very peturbing, the losing mindset is setting in. It's only West Ham, a side that the vast majority of our support considered us superior to last season.

Le Tissier: "Cortese is not a nice human being"

I still haven't worked out what Mick Channon has to do with all this  -
Pretty evident really, I personally think that if we should lose heavily to West Ham (4-1 as you state) NC would see it as a sign of non-progress compared to a like for like rival and quite simply sack NA. It's just a sort of intuition on my part though.

A player we ourselves should have made a big effort to sign last January. He also creates opportunities for others, plus he'd be on Fox's side so it's all a big bonus with him out. Still think we'll get a "surprise" result myself and let's face it we could certainly do with one, even if it's only our first away point of the season.

I too hope you are wrong for I fear that such a result would instigate a chain reaction that many would see as extremely unjust and regrettable.

We have to ask, who did Saville associate himself with?

But only if you know a Hawk from a Handsaw. -
Right, plenty of money to be borrowed in the BVI I guess. Never mind I'll put in £50 to the Saints 2014 Trust.
-
Fairly common occurence, they seem to have put very little thought into the summer recruitment either.
-
Indeed no, perhaps it's something that should have been evident to whomsoever led the summer recruitment campaign though.

with what exactly. Three quality players in those positions would push our annual spending towards 50 million I guess and I for one doubt very much that we have the wherewithal available. We've blown our wad already and I don't see us shelling out much at all in January, unless of course we have some incoming.
-
Anyway, think we need not to lose, In my opinion NC might think about shaking the bag if we do.
-
Which would kinda be pretty normal cos it would mean that West Ham have progressed and we,with a superior expenditure, haven't. But as I don't think we'll lose I won't have to consider that.
-
So half a million then, wow you can buy a football club for that now, think I'll get one then

bite is French for dîck you know.
-
But defensively he's crap which is Fox's main problem. We do not need any more midfielders or attackers we need a frigging left back who can defend.
-
out of interest and to save me perusing 76K posts or so; how much money do the PST actually have?
-
Oh right, half-term already is it.
-
Difficult to say, perhaps the player wanted a percentage of the bonus payments paid as well as the basic left on his contract. Anyway as we all know Cortese doesn't mess about where money is concerned. If you want something from Saints you pay the named price, if you don't tough titty.
-
I'm sure the French wouldn't mind sharing their Isle Longue SNLE base if the price was right.
