they were both penalties,

Just that could be troubling José, it's pretty evident even from just 3 matches at this level that Jos vs a class A1.5Star attacker is a penalty waiting to happen every time. As an analogy when you have pain in your right knee you tend to subconciously compensate and you often end up with a pain in the left knee as well. Jos can't tackle quick attackers who turn on him and it will be a big problem cos Kelvin ai n't going to save all the penalties. If Silva and RVP hadn't f*cked up we'd have been out of sight in all 3 of our matches already.

Can't see that at all, for all he knows the "boss" might have decided that there was no charge, so just wait and see whether a bill is sent.

the thing is that the perception of Mayuka is conditionned by the deception induced by the result of the game. We were winning and then we lost in the last 7/8 minutes thus any factor that intervened in the last minute change will be naturlly judged as negative. Couln't watch the game live cos I'm still stuck up my mountain but I've viewed the DVD that the wife kindly sent several times and to me the problem is more based on the fact that neither JWP nor S Davis lasted the distance. We went gung ho when we needed to shut up shop but JWP didn't get anywhere near Scholes and also punted the ball carelessly forward a few times as if it was full of anthrax or something. The smart move in my opinion was to bring back Punch a notch and take off JWP, JRod for Lambert as a straight post for post swap and if you must put Mayuka on for Lallana, trouble is that would leve Guly on his behind on the bench and I'm not sure that that's allowed ?

Not picked, because he hasn't been playing I suppose.

do they have those renta-bikes in Nice? lots of accidents with those in Lyon, Paris and Montpellier. Seems they do then.http://www.velobleu.org/

Lineker and Cantona to name but 2 played with light casts on an arm, didn't Lineker score a hat-trick with his arm in plaster in Mexico 86? Just depends exactly what's up with the arm.

With Deschamps as manager? Not for a long time, you've got to be pushing 30 or have played for Marseille or Lyon to have a chance with him. Morgan would do as well to opt for England as soon as he can, Deschamps is a knob.

Not wishing to gainsay you but when the opposition's keeper gets MOTM and a 9/10 rating then you'd kinda suspect he had a few saves to make. Also did NA not say himself that we failed to convert our chances ?

Not had the best of luck with injuries really has he. How many games did he actually play for Saints?

Morgan will become a great player, it's his destiny because he has all the attributes. It was the perception that was wrong, probably fron a group of 65 year olds who know absolutely f*ck all about 21 st century football. viz Terry Paine apparently, but then my old Mum had a very low opinion of him as well, we were sort of neighbours and she was quite friendly with one of his exs. It's all about opinion. -
My daughter is a Marine Biologist, must remember to ask her what is known about the cognitive powers of your average goldfish sometime.

A game we lost because we couldn't put the ball into the net when we had chances, you pay cash for that in the PL. This is why players like Vn Persie cost 25 million and get 200K a week, they rarely miss chances.

Sounds like " no way we're going to miss out on another Charlie Austin" jobby to me. Why I've even invented a name for it, it's now to be known as BFS (Barcelona Fixation Syndrome)

Kind of a normal reaction, they probably both wanted to be on the pitch when we beat Utd and earn lasting glory. Still Punch has certain defensive ability about him and I'd have thought he could have dropped back a notch to replace JWP who, from my Tuesday television view was dead beat and doing the same s against City, just punting the ball forward. NA got it wrong but why we'll probably never know.

Ramirez on as sub for Uruguay after 56 minutes, they still got thumped by Colombia though 4-0. Still I guess the less he plays the better it is for us, anyone see that match?

Hmmm, seems like the drunk that bloke you usually get on the last train from Waterloo who insists of giving you his concise opinion about anything and everything.. -
Well I don't know, I don't like the clumsy tackling of Josh all that much, why I even made reference to it in the Man U build up thread and sure enough he gave away another penalty. I m not at all sure that José might not be better with someone a bit more composed along side him.Who knows we might even be planning to go 3 at the back on occasions.

Next round of African qualifiers seems to be in March 2013

Weren't Steve Davis and Morgan the other way round against Utd? Think we'll go for that myself, Arse's midfield is bit powder puff and the further forward Morgan plays the less they'll like it, especially as Abu Diaby is bound to sprain a thumb nail or something in one of the two upcoming ints.

Cropper is a strange case, could it be that he doesn't have a work permit to play senior football ?? Might have some sort of scholar status or something like that. Nope not that, Uk passport apparently.

No beef about the purchase from me, just the time it took to get it done. Most of the other Prem sides hd their new aquisitions on display last weekend(and don't we know it), ours just disappeared off to international duty and we might not even see them in time for the Arsenal game. So top marks for the purchase but a 1 out of 10 for the delay.

Wasn't there a rumour going round that Chaplow had turned down a loan move to Palace? If there's any truth in that he may well be in the dog house with the powers that be at SFC. Mind you if everyone either in the old DH or loaned out already it won't make much sense when we get injuries and suspensions. Still with Cork to come back and Lallana having been tried in a CM role already then I guess we feel we have that covered without Chaplow and are probably looking to loan him out.

Whilst we're on the subject of subs wtf is NA's problem with Tadanari Lee? Likes to play on the left and would probably have worried Utd's defence a whole lot more than JRod. If he's not fit then why have him on the bench but it would seem to me that NA is just trying to justify all the money we spent on JRod by squeezing him into the side somewhere. Didn't Liverpool and Utd do that last season with Henderson and Jones respectively?
