  1. I guess it might make more sense if you could consider Chaplow as a CM,can't see why Deano would want to go trolling off oop north.
  2. Might need to stay overnight on the sofa then
  3. could depend if he wants Premier League player status for the first time in his career or if he wants to play football.
  4. Well you can count Morgan out, he won't go to Burnley that's a FACT. No doubt he wants to stay with us but if we tried to sell him to a drosspile like Burnley he'd go to Villa or Rennes or Lille or one of the other clubs that have enquired about him. Can't see it being Cork either. Having said that if we signed JRod that would leave us with an impressive pile of strikers for next season, unless we're going to convert Tad into something else.
  5. No doubt a good player but whether he's PL class is something we won't know just yet.Same could be said of all of our players though. Can't know until you get there although some seem to have the baggage you need whereas others don't look to have it. There will be revelations and disillusionments.
  6. I'd think you could rule Blackpool out, apparently they're a real bunch of skinflints who managed an entire PL campaign without paying players more than 10K a week. Difficult to believe? yep I thought that but it was on the BBC in an article about Reading's recent promoted status.
  7. Haven't the faintest idea, assumed it was some Oil Mogul from the back of beyond.
  8. Team mate holding the keeper down apparently
  9. PSG are crap anyway, never in the history of football has a side that's cost so much achieved so little.Zoot I forgot Pompey :smug:
  10. Any of the players listed might or might not have performed better in a structure like ours. We're a good side, can't be said for a lot of those others.
  11. Reminds me of John Major in his famous Dumb Disneyland reply in the House.
  12. Pretty damn simple, West Ham are preparing their play-off campaign cos they'll be having one..or all indicators would point to that anyway, whereas we aren't cos we're not if you catch my drift.
  13. Don't know, might be a lot of celebrating when we win and not so much when we lose.Winning...well we're used to that, not much to say really whereas losing or playing badly makes people angry and they need to express it pdq.
  14. In fact it would be quite interesting to actually calculate the real cost of a PL season and a NPC season to a ST holder fan who goes to 5 or 6 away games on a regular basis.Although the PL is bound to cost more ticket wise I'm not so sure that those who go to a lot of far flung away games will be much more out of pocket and I'd think that those who go to virtually every game might even save a couple of quid.
  15. I'd think that there would be a net diminution of the average mileage to reach away games next season. Newcastle would be the furthest,Reading the closest and then there's somewhere from 4 to 6 London games instead of this year's 3. No doubt the OS will work it out for us when the compo of next year's EPL is known.
  16. bunch of attention seekers, probably knew very well the Home Office interpretation of the rules and waited until afterwards just to extract the Urite. Will we ever learn with these people, just chuck them out and have done with it.They'll always find reasons for delaying the extraditon ruling, next time it will be one of his thousands of wives is knocked up or something like that.Pity the Yanks aren't interested in him,he have been gone years ago in one way or another.
  17. Bowling doesn't look to be all that bad so far but batting seems to be a real struggle. Two matches and not a single batting point, doubt if we've ever had many starts like that since bonus points came into being.Assuming that we don't get a late stand today that is.
  18. Do you think Russia abides by the ECHR rules everytime they want to sling someone out or deal with a troublemaker...I don't think so.As for the Swiss forget it, whatever they vote in their frequent referendums is the law and they don't give a monkey's about what the outside world thinks.
  19. And very practical too, flight Lyon-Heathrow,Railair bus to the Madj, takes just about 4.5 hours from home.Did it this season, stayed at my old aunt's in Wimbledon afterwards.Cheapest Saints watching trip for years.Think I had plenty left from £200 which is good cos I can go more often then.
  20. Good choices, good reasoning but I expect that at the end of the day our recruitment will be slightly less insular. If we recruit say 6 players I'd expect half of them to come from outside those actually currently playing in the UK.Just like last season
  21. Maybe cos we all read that yesterday or the day before...just pointing it out like
  22. for a club who are supposed to big a "big club" their home gates this season are shameful.Seem to average about 17500. Perhaps there's no money about in those parts these days, perhaps Newcastle and Sunderland have nicked all their 'Boro till I die" fans.Mind you it's a sh*t side compared to their recent past. Strachan destroyed them good and proper with his dinosaur tactics in a modern age.
  23. Course we can, it's not our law and we don't have to take any notice of it.The French don't,unless it suits them of course, when they chucked out the Roms it was on their interpretation of the law and they didn't give a toss what some Irish commy thought about it. It's partially why the Uk has become a haven for some pretty dodgy characters, once they're in it's such a big deal to sling them out.Look at the other knob there, Assange, made a mockery of the UK justice system. If you've a bit of money in the UK you can always find some loophole to exploit.
  24. Trouble is that with all these international bodies that supercede national legislation, democratic countries are becoming ungovernable because there's always a high authority to which to appeal.Look at the BOA and drugs cheats.A national body can no longer make it's own rules, apply them and stick to them. This used to be the basis of any form of governance, you know the rules, stick to them or you'll be punished, when that's no longer the case all you have left is anarchy. If you want an example of the total breakdown of any sort of public order you only have to look as far as South Africa, the old system was rotten but the new one is just a disaster.
  25. My Mum went to school with Benny Hill, seem to remember her telling me he was a bit so so at a young age. Then again we lived a few doors down from TP and she didn't have a very good opinion of him either. Perhaps not the best person to get a character reference from my Mum.
