  1. Are there any advantages at all to living in the Orkneys ??
  2. There were a lot of us there, it was midweeker as well, mind you in those days people used to love a charabanc trip to London of a Tuesday.Hadn't started all this no drinking, no smoking on the coach crap.Even talked to people you didn't know to pass the time, mobile phones, game boys and I pads not having been invented at that time.
  3. And that's in the NPC.Anyone know what Chapper's disciplinary record with West Brom in the Prem was like.
  4. Indeed Jimmy Case agreed somewhere in a recent interview that his type of player wouldn't play very much of any match in the modern game.Any of our players could be thuggish like Case,Walker,Huxford,O'Neill and loads of others, they'd last about 5 minutes, just the time to get 2 yellows or a straight red.
  5. In Weatherall's case It was his Mrs who didn't want to be more than a couple of miles from her Mum, player didn't mind coming here at all. I remember a whole week's discussion on the clanishness of Northern Women.
  6. just stop trolling, you're like those other knobs deppo and 1976 child
  7. Pain in the ass is he? What about VFTT, whip up to wherever it is in the Midlands in your new motor and go up with them, just trying to be useful.
  8. so go, did you contact RAF Saint? surely Gloucester is on your way.Or would that be seen as fraternising with the enemy in the Modern Navy!!
  9. I guess it might make more sense if you could consider Chaplow as a CM,can't see why Deano would want to go trolling off oop north.
  10. Might need to stay overnight on the sofa then
  11. could depend if he wants Premier League player status for the first time in his career or if he wants to play football.
  12. Well you can count Morgan out, he won't go to Burnley that's a FACT. No doubt he wants to stay with us but if we tried to sell him to a drosspile like Burnley he'd go to Villa or Rennes or Lille or one of the other clubs that have enquired about him. Can't see it being Cork either. Having said that if we signed JRod that would leave us with an impressive pile of strikers for next season, unless we're going to convert Tad into something else.
  13. No doubt a good player but whether he's PL class is something we won't know just yet.Same could be said of all of our players though. Can't know until you get there although some seem to have the baggage you need whereas others don't look to have it. There will be revelations and disillusionments.
  14. I'd think you could rule Blackpool out, apparently they're a real bunch of skinflints who managed an entire PL campaign without paying players more than 10K a week. Difficult to believe? yep I thought that but it was on the BBC in an article about Reading's recent promoted status.
  15. Haven't the faintest idea, assumed it was some Oil Mogul from the back of beyond.
  16. Team mate holding the keeper down apparently
  17. PSG are crap anyway, never in the history of football has a side that's cost so much achieved so little.Zoot I forgot Pompey :smug:
  18. Any of the players listed might or might not have performed better in a structure like ours. We're a good side, can't be said for a lot of those others.
  19. Reminds me of John Major in his famous Dumb Disneyland reply in the House.
  20. Pretty damn simple, West Ham are preparing their play-off campaign cos they'll be having one..or all indicators would point to that anyway, whereas we aren't cos we're not if you catch my drift.
  21. Don't know, might be a lot of celebrating when we win and not so much when we lose.Winning...well we're used to that, not much to say really whereas losing or playing badly makes people angry and they need to express it pdq.
  22. In fact it would be quite interesting to actually calculate the real cost of a PL season and a NPC season to a ST holder fan who goes to 5 or 6 away games on a regular basis.Although the PL is bound to cost more ticket wise I'm not so sure that those who go to a lot of far flung away games will be much more out of pocket and I'd think that those who go to virtually every game might even save a couple of quid.
  23. I'd think that there would be a net diminution of the average mileage to reach away games next season. Newcastle would be the furthest,Reading the closest and then there's somewhere from 4 to 6 London games instead of this year's 3. No doubt the OS will work it out for us when the compo of next year's EPL is known.
  24. bunch of attention seekers, probably knew very well the Home Office interpretation of the rules and waited until afterwards just to extract the Urite. Will we ever learn with these people, just chuck them out and have done with it.They'll always find reasons for delaying the extraditon ruling, next time it will be one of his thousands of wives is knocked up or something like that.Pity the Yanks aren't interested in him,he have been gone years ago in one way or another.
