what 5 strikers ?? Barney is just a sub now, Lambert misses more than he scores and Guly isn't an all out striker. Look at the number of shots we have and the number of goals we actually score.We've had some great wins with a few goals but when we get to the down and dirty matches like last Saturday's we can't hit the net.These games are pitched battles and when someone sets up something with a moment of sheer brilliance you have to take the chance and not shove it 2 yards wide or hit it straight at the keeper (or go rolling about on the deck looking for a penalty) We should have scored on Saturday,players work hard to set up these chances and we miss them,Adkins always speaks about missed chances in his post-match, looks like he's decided to do something about it.I am 100% certain that Lambert would have scored from the chance Morgan so beautifully set up for him if he was a yard quicker and if he could use his left foot.

If we had Lallana and we should happen to turn it on then we have a reasonable chance of not getting too badly mauled.Doubt if we'll have Adam available though and with no-one wide left and perhaps not even Oxo we're going to look dire.If I was one of our better players I might even feign injury so as not to get ridiculed by the stand in hacks around me.

No-one except some of our fans who are no doubt driven by motivation in their own lives but don't see that it can apply to others as well.I just hope that Cortese and NA don't get too much stick from the Antis, there's nothing they can do if the price is right and the player wants to go.

Things don't need to be said, that would be a problem because he wouldn't get his cut of any transfer fee. A player must never be seen to be seeking a transfer openly.That is considered as an official request and he loses his 5% cut.

It was rumoured that he had get out clauses in his contract and these just had to be triggered. I really don't see why there is so much insistence on Cortese's part in all this.If the player has 'if XX come calling for xx million you can't stop me" clauses then the chairman has no choice.These clauses are more and more common,especially for hot prospects signing with 3rd division clubs, no matter what their future ambition may be.

I noticed something over the last 2 games.Now of late Lambert has been working out wide left with Lallana playing off him on the same side, since Lallana has been out he's gone wide right but Ox doesn't have the same efficiency on that side. Seems to make an enormous difference to our play.Take the first chance yesterday,Morgan knocks it forward first time, Rickie gets to it down by the bye line on the right and goes for goal (could have pulled it back) now if it had been Adam behind him I'm sure he'd have pulled it back and we had time and space for a virtually open goal shot.

I just want to see a fast striker who can use both feet instinctively and a new central defender with pace.If we'd had these yesterday we might have got somewhere.Lambert always goes onto his right foot even when the left is the first choice option. Noticed on the first chance he missed yesterday,left foot...easy knock in ,right foot not so much because the keeper had already closed down that angle.

Couldn't get much change out of Tranmere's defence yesterday now could he. Gary Ugly would eat him up for tea as of yet. He's fast as you like but good positioning seems to get the better of him at the moment.

Tuesday after next. Maybe that Charlton game initially rescheduled for the 25th might have come in handy.

I've looked at the horrorlights. Now it would seem to me that the big lump number 7 is offside in the build up leading to their first goal and for their second there's a forearm smash (on Morgan maybe) from the same player that leaves our man KO on the ground holding his head whilst they wander off and Kelvin gives them another freebie.Sh*t ref and sh*t keeper gift them the victory.

True he has some sort of ankle ligament injury but he'd not played anywhere near as much as Puncheon beforehand.Just 2 games I think

Seriously though we seem to be one of the few League 1 outfits who don't have any Premiership clubs' youngsters on loan. Couldn't say if that's right but it seems that way.
