Chamberlain to Arsenal or Liverpool £10m
Window Cleaner replied to forever a red and white's topic in The Saints
I'm sure he won't go to Liverpool anyway, they're supposed to be close to signing the Ivoirien Gervinho from Lille for a fair wedge. If Liverpool were looking at us on Tuesday I doubt that it would be for AOC, Lallana maybe and Comolli was a known admirer of a certain midfielder of ours who he may believe could be had on the cheap just now.Comolli likes French (and francophone) players, he took Kaboul and Taraabt to Spurs (and they both have the same agent as said midfielder of ours). -
Probably some obscure on-line betting outfit
-
probably won't get a game, don't think he's a regular starter. Harley is their danger man but I don't doubt that Deano and Richardson will deal with him effectively. Probably a booking for Deano in store though.
-
because they took the free kick very quickly and not in the same spot as the foul (well behind it though). As our players had switched off they thought they should moan about getting caught out I suppose.
-
doubt if we'd be allowed to throw coins at them any more though. Wouldn't be PC and H+S would have a field day.

I watched a bit of Liverpool Wolves yesterday and I wouldn't think more attacking players is Liverpool's priority, their weakness is in midfield and in the build up to attacks. So if Comolli was at SMS on Tuesday I'd tend to think he was looking at players other than than Ox.Player's who'd probably cost less and fill more immediate needs. But then Hodgson is a shît manager (not at all saints related) -

not if they've already agreed to sell him to us and the papers are all ready for the FA.Can't see why we'd have waited really unless they've tried to bump the price or something like that. St Leger is rumoured to have already tied up his deal with WBA so why should we be any different. -

soon there'll be so many manager vacancies in the NPC that they'll have to hire Poortvliet or Wotte. -

that means that 3 NPC teams are currently without a manager, that can't happen all that often. -

I too am sure that we would have done the necessary...just one little niggle in all that Wotton coming back. -

Laws and Ferguson sacked on the same day then?? Anyway it depends what has been agreed doesn't it.I thought Chappers was costing Preston too much money anyway, plus their fans think he's shîte, not that they know anything about football mind you. -
But there may be people voting who didn't actually go to the game. I see a couple of suspicious names on the voting list.
-
Fonte let their striker get behind him twice at least, seemed to take a bit of time to get going again.
-
No doubt, but one of the club's main aims is to create a talent pathway between the academy and the first team. If there's no outlet because the path is bunged up with Wottons and Forecasts it defeats the object.
-
Depends exactly where we are with Lallana,Ox and Puncheon doesn't it ? I have absolutely no idea whether they'll all be here, all gone or somewhere in between come 1st february. I guess the club have some sort of idea though.Thought NA was a bit evasive on the question of outs in his latest interview...probably means nothing though.Jordan Sibley says Comolli wasn't there yesterday,he may well be right but I've heard he was.
-
I would very much doubt that, Barney may be a better striker but I'd think Gully was a better all-round player.
-
But surely you can't make a loan permanent outside of the transfer window can you? That would kind of defeat the object of the window surely?
-
I just suppose that NA thinks Gully's style suits his game plans more than Barnard. Gully does seem to present plenty of what the French call Volume du Jeu,Makes a lot of things happen and unsettles the opposition because of his unpredictability. It's not as if we're lacking attacking potential really is it because at times you'd think AOC was playing at number 9.I think we're better with Gully than without him.

Cousins will say anything. I have a cousin who supports Palarse, he tells me they're a good side.

So Gobern after being given a brief hope of a bit of progress is now consigned to the dustbin again just because we have to find a place for Wootton again. I don't doubt that Chaplow will be available on Saturday.Don't know how they'll arrange that but I'm sure that it will happen.I thought his loan ended on the 3rd Jan as well, probably because it seemed more sensible that it was like that though.Otherwise we'd have to register any permanent move by the 30th or 31st and as that isn't in the window it can't be done. can't see that we'd leave a blank period of 1 or 2 games for a player we hope to sign permanently really.
-
but what are we going to do with him? play him in the under 21s?
-
they haven't signed McQuoid yet either, he's on loan as well, reportedly with a £550 K price tag. Not sure he's actually played much for them so far.
-
we could always leave him on loan at Millwall anyway. A fair number of January window deals are loans.

comes from there doesn't he? Still I thought it was very much a done deal according to the comments of Preston's chairman at their AGM.
