  1. those sanctioning them. This is why Hone and Hoos etc made the non-executive directors (in the occurence Mike Richards I think) sign the contracts for certain players because they knew that hiring them under the conditions demanded was suicidal and said so at the time (but not to the general public of course).
  2. In fact "milking" is illegal if it leads to bankruptcy or other payment difficulties. Not those benefiting from the affair but the directors for sanctioning it, it's something to do with defrauding a public company by incompetence.
  3. Wouldn't milking the club have brought about criminal charges on behalf of those who actually lost money on the whole administration scenario. The administrators must have had the same figures I guess. Nothing happened so I would suppose that there was nothing illegal.
  4. I don't think they've invented the instant recovery hernia operation as yet. If he has to have one it'll be 2/3 months absence at least.
  5. Perhaps if we give them the as yet unproven Chamberlain they'll give us Theo back, it's a no contest as yet.
  6. used to perhaps, I don't know, Wenger said it so I guess he'd have a reason for it. NB I looked it up, when Theo was about 14 he was running the 100 in about 11.7, which is damn fast for a 14 yr old, Dyer is a couple of years older so maybe a bit more muscle structure at that age. In some sort of Arsenal test Theo has been clocked at 10.2 metres /sec, ie under 10 secs for the 100 but there is of course a time of acceleration and "mise en action"Usain Bolt's WR for the 100 equates to about the same average speed but of course that's from a standing start. Theo can run over a limited distance at 36.63 km/h, try it on a bike sometime, it's freaking fast.
  7. Walcott is reputed to be the fastest player in Europe, Wenger said so when he was on commentary for the England-France match, something like 10.25 for the 100 metres, that's 100 metre European Championship fast.
  8. I shall repeat this just once more, no Saint's player will stay here if...he has an offer of Premier League football and a vastly increased salary....no-one, not one of them, not the boy next door, not your mates brothers nephew, none of them.
  9. they should cheer up a bit, it could have been worse, they might have got someone like Adkins. I'd still trade him back for AP. He's an OK manager as is Pardew but lets face it neither of them are going to manage a really top club anytime soon.
  10. a cultured person will handle the old eating implements the right way round in any case,no clues from that I'm afraid.
  11. of course it is, any league 1 football above £20 full price is a rip off.But at least we have the possibility of choosing an attractive match and not a crap one, Blackpool's fans don't as a rule.
  12. Probably one of NC's main beefs with AP, wouldn't play any of the darling academy lads.Kept wanting to spend money on real players. NA keeps referring to the "pathway" that is open to the development squad.
  13. He doesn't need to be there at 8 sharp for that, might as well turn up at 10 when she's had half a skinful already.
  14. Blackpool sell their EPL home games in blocks of 3, Chelsea/Newcastle/Stoke will set you back 102£ at full price as will Arsenal/Crap/Crap,I think they're just sucking up to their fans trying to make themselves out as the good guys.I mean £34 to watch Blackpool/Stoke has got to be a rip off in anyone's estimation.
  15. Both suffer from Lambert Tunnel Vision anyway,NA said he "wasn't afraid to drop Lambert" when he does it I'll believe him.Until we get a Barnard/Someone else front pair in action the goalscoring will be the remit of the midfield, that will leave them charging forward when they shouldn't be and we'll get caught out from time to time.
  16. But the sharp end cost a lot of money all the same, Villa for 40 million, Dani Alves for about 30,Macherano for another 22/25,Abidal 20 million. The home grown players are excellent, whether they'd be the same without the expensive imports no-one knows.
  17. most interesting bit is about "negociations with players and an important sponsorship brand". All the rest is bog standard and as expected.
  18. Still can't see why he'd get the job though.
  19. he'll go looking for prem players on the cheap or make do with what he has. If I had to bet on him signing any 2 players from outside of the EPL I'd go for Antonio and Danns but for peanuts, maybe 2 million in total. The rest will be unknown foreigners or fading household names.
  20. Pardew will not come looking for them anyway, far far far too risky. He'll need experienced hands who've proved their worth at the highest level. Won't give any Saints player a thought in his recruitment.Might go for Antonio though, if he's cheap. If he gets the job that is.
  21. Obviously knows nothing about Barcelona though, they've probably spent at least 150 million on their present side.
  22. why should he want Lambert when he would already have Carroll, Rickie missed(or was he made to miss it) the boat last summer, worth nothing nowadays.
  23. Apparently the grandson of Burma's dictator wanted said dictator to buy Man U.
