Wow, big news then, having spent the entire time between yesterday 8 am and just now out of contact with the real world, a few meters underground, I guess I'm the last fan to know.Thought the coaches might be in for trouble because too many players aren't progressing but AP?? well it's a bit of a surprise.

Bristol Rovers (0) V (4) Saints,Post match wooting..

i think the forward ball has to be intentional for it to be offside, obviously Barnard had a crack at goal the was mi**** so it wasn't an intentional pass, one of these things that are down to the refs appreciation really. -
they don't play in the same register, always amazed at the total lack of understanding of what a defensive midfielder is supposed to do, Guly isn't a DM ,Morgan is.
-
we already did, why do you think Guly is here, anyway Dickson did a good job yesterday.
-
trouble with Barnard this season so far is that he does an awful lot but with zero end product,no doubt this will change sometime soon.

Hesitant To Post This, But Me I'm Out Of Patience

nothing to be impatient about really, the only thing missing is a higher success rate from our front 4 because that's where our only problem lies just now,Puncheon,Lallana,Barnard,Lambert these are the goalscorers and attacking midfielders, they've been getting a whole shedload of chances and not putting many away. All the rest is satisfactory. -
doubt if Guly will be really match fit, expect him to come on at about 68 minutes, other than that same side as Tuesday last with perhaps Jaidi instead of Martin.

One of the things we need to do in order to win is ...

having looked at the brief highlights on Saintsplayer I would say that Barnard (who looks very sharp) needs to keep the ball down a bit more when he shoots, a big keeper like Orient's seemed to be will gobble up most of that under the bar stuff, when I coach kids I repeat the same thing time and time again, keep it down, hit it hard just inside the posts (with their shooting power it usually turns into daisycutters that might even take a lucky bobble on the cowpatch pitches they play on most weeks) and you'll probably score. -
perhaps a few matches from time to time would help then, we should never have cancelled last week's game anyway, players like to play whenever possible, they don't like free weeks all that much, have a look at the weeks after international breaks, plenty of strange results to be seen there. We had a very indifferent pre-season with our "first XI" performing very little,we aren't in the 90 minute rythm just just, 45 minutes of shock and awe and then we run out of puff......I tell eee it's about the coaches more than anything else, they're turning good players into 1 trick ponys.

Southampton 1 - 1 Leyton Orient - Post match reaction

but then again he may not;),anyway I very much doubt that it's AP we need to change in the immediate future I'd say we rather need to look at the one dimensional coaching staff. -
I really don't think the EPL squad sizing system will affect us in any shape or form, we're in the 3rd division and very few players over 21 will want to drop down that far,Championship clubs will mop them up with the parent club paying the lion's share of the salary cheque or they'll play in the reserves wherever they are and take the easy money, or go back on loan to continental Europe from whence they came.

100K??? you must be joking, most of the goals that he scored for us last season would be worth at least that amount to Reading. A player who performed as well as Antonio did(sometimes) last season is worth 500K to any side and Reading know that...but then so do we,any player who scores goals, however raw he may be costs money, just look at some of the ridiculous sums being splashed on relatively unproven strikers who have had one or two good games from time to time.Plus he's a young player who would probably be well satisfied with 4K a week and bonuses.
-
perhaps they just want to keep him so they've put the price high. Same sort of thing as anyone enquiring after Lallana, Morgan or RL I'd expect. No doubt we are open to offers for all of them but the asking price puts anyone off.Antonio is getting 20 minutes or so at the end of every game, impact sub, probably worth more to Reading like that than the measly 300K we're probably offering.

looks as if we're getting tonked about a bit. Our poor bowling will cost us dear this season. Still never mind it's only a game

Schneiderlin in the French Under 21 squad for first time
Window Cleaner replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
in fact it's the U23s really, this is a qualifying game for the Euro 2011 U23 competition.Morgan will want to do well (or at least get onto the pitch) as the younger players in this group (1989/90/91) will form the nucleus of the Euro 2011 finals side and the London Olympics side. He had a good tournament at Toulon and was outstanding in 2 of his 4 games, he's one of the few Toulon players retained in this group.I just hope they don't try to put pressure on him to find "a higher level club" again -

we must have upped our offer then, it was half a Cornetto and a packet of crisps when I saw it. -
Some of Spain's WC performances weren't all that great either, but they stayed solid at the back, rode their luck and eventually scored, same as we seemed to do last night, sign of a really good side
