So who's received their wembley tickets in the post yet?
Window Cleaner replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
I don't think we print them ourselves, presume the Football League look after that. Hence printing out duplicates isn't on. I think they give you a chit which you have to exchange for the duplicates at Wembley. Couldn't be sure though. -
To be fair we had 2 jokers a few games back but as we used them up within 3 games we just don't have any more.

Did anyone have a successful postal application for Wembley?

They've probably started re-allocating all the bogus tickets obtained by deception;) and those they've allocated twice or thrice. -
Right

At this stage last year S****horpe were on 58 points from 36 games, Colchester are already on 63 from the same number of games. This season the threshold for the play-off places will be abnormally high. It's a minimum of 80 points and to us that's 10/10 we have to win.
-
So no more blips for us this season then. I just can't see it. I thought we'd win our last 7 at home and then came Swindon. We can be shut down too easily, we have players stacking up cards,we're beginning to get injuries thick and fast. Only a brave man would bet on us winning 10/10 .

I'd think we're more likely to lose against Brizzle than Brighton;
-
Well he certainly didn't pay me or any other shareholder as far as I know. I think we were classed as creditors.
-
anyway it's not about money, it's about sporting challenges. Most professional sportspeople want to play at the highest level possible. That's why a few players (or so they say) turned us down in January. You can always hack along on what you earn but sportspeople live for the challenge.
-
i think he had to do it a long time ago, I just supposed my postal forwarding system had failed and I didn't get my copy. Unimportant anyway as there was nothing for the shareholders.
-
No NC said the club was debt free now but that doesn't mean they paid up everything that was owed. SLH owed the creditors not the club. ML627 (or whatever it is) bought the Stadium and the Club from the administrators of SLH PLC, it was rumoured that they paid about 15 million (but it could have been less) With the player sales (which probably went to bolster the assets of the PLC) SLH PLC probably acquitted about half of it's debt. The whole affair is shrouded in mystery.

What are the odds on Morgan being the first to have a shot cleared off the line. I'd go for that one.
-
Didn't we ?? I've never seen a blow by blow account of the affair, never got the shareholders circular either. As far as I know Markus bought the club out of administration and the administrator sorted out the creditors of SLH. I don't for one minute think the club acquitted all of it's debts. But as few really know what happened who could really say.I really really doubt that SLH paid all it's debts.

Exciting young Saints players who have not made the grade
Window Cleaner replied to maysie's topic in The Saints
Eamonn Collins did make a sort of start on a career, followed Bally about a bit, first to Skate then to Colchester. Probably did play for our first team once or twice as well but was probably too small for first class football in the 80s -
* Official * Wembley Seating Plan Thread

They're not worth abusing, 3000 real fans and 20000 made up of part timers and Wembley specials. Don't get chucked out on their account, most of them will never ever have seen a real live football match before. -

I really couldn't say, just know what I'd do but them I'm pretty unflappable most of the time (and a bit of a miser as well ) I'd have asked them why they did it though. sorry I've taken up all your posts with my curious nature though.. -

I'd have taken me chance and kept the 37 quid, a ticket is a ticket as long as you've got it it should be valid.Perhaps it was a gesture of appeasement, because you weren't where you wanted to be they gave you the price of 1 ticket and your booking fee back.Think of that ? -

Van crashed? Sounds like excuse of the day. Friend of mine used to work logisitics for a well known manufacturer of white goods. He once told me that they had a folder with a list of day's "reasons for delay or non-delivery" in it. Instead of getting several different "reasons" depending on who he spoke to a client always got the same "reason" on the same day.Sort of Cheese Shop simplified . -

so did you get 6 tickets or 5 at the end of the day? -
Yep must have got confused with Swindon last Tuesday I guess, happens sometimes.

Really doubt that 21K max, could be lower. We only got 20K on Saturday and MK Dons brought a few. Hartlepool will bring about 150

Will Kelvin and Wotton play tonight??
Window Cleaner replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
Anyway AP seems to deal with the issue in his pre-match piece. Reports on injuries and the like and then says anyone not putting in 100% tonight might lose his Wembley place (other than the non-eligible players of course). So I guess it will be a pretty standard look team apart from the injured players. KD Harding Seaborne Fonté Mills Hammond Puncheon Papa Morgan Lambert Barnard -
I think due to a new overseas rights contract which kicks in at the start of next season the EPL clubs will get an additional 13 million each although it may be performance based and the 13 million is a mean figure. Plus there is the new "homegrown" quota which kicks in as well, maybe that won't make all that much difference though.
-
wasn't thinking of Surman really, more of Deano,Walcottt ,Bale,Jones, perhaps even Baird plus many many others over the years.
-
Does not the article say that Championship clubs can forget it? Does it say he won't be going anywhere...I think not. Once again the Echo making something out of nothing. I would think that Lambert may have a clause in his contract that if an EPL club comes in for him he can talk to them, with or without our permission.
