  1. It won't work because he can't tackle well enough to get the ball in the first place. Morgan hasn't gotten 8 yellows and 2 reds this season for his needlepoint and flower arranging abilities, some are because he's a silly boy, others are because he puts in some crunching tackles and professional fouls when all is lost otherwise. If you read the DNA piece that I put up on a thread the other day he says that he has changed from a ball artist to a bit of a bulldog on the pitch, guess he just hasn't learned no to overdo it yet. Anyway no Lallana in CM if you please, we need him where he already is. Wotton will be OK for the games we have.
  2. And they will have a better chance of doing that if Huddersfield have to take the game to them. We have seen in our 2 games with them what a pain Exeter can be defensively, if Huddersfield just need to drift through and take a point it will be easier for them than trying to get a win.Which is why we need Colchester to beat them because Stockport certainly won't.
  3. That won't happen, he'll probably be just fine at Wolves next season, the step up seems to take a while as it did with Baird and to some extent Bale, that's the great advantage of the EPL, with the plethoric squads most sides have there's always a bit of time for the newer players to settle and learn and progress. Wenger says it can take 18 months for the majority of players.A game here,a game there, muscle and stamina building and some serious bench time.
  4. Although AP was a bit of a "previous name" when he agreed to take us on. Think he'd been out of management for about 18 months. Anyway I can't see him going to Celtic and I can't see us sacking him so the point is a bit mute.
  5. No it won't .Colchester can only get a maximum of 77 points and that point coupled with the 3 Huddersfield will certainly get against Stockport will put them onto 78 leaving them just needing 1 from a 90 minute bore draw against Exeter, whereas we would be better off with them needing to win at Exeter to be sure of making the play-offs. Colchester don't matter,Leeds will take care of that, anyway 77 max won't beat our 78, which is what we'll get.
  6. Volcanic ash permitting of course:)
  7. how would you compare it to say to the tackle that got Terry's second yellow card yesterday, that was awful, straight red if he hadn't already had a yellow. Yet those sort of tackles used to go unpunished provided you touched the ball, didn't matter what else got in the way as long as you touched the ball they were kosher. In fact we used to love them,Brian O'Neill, Docker Walker, David Webb not to mention Pyscho , used to get about 15 to 20 of them a game and not even a ticking off from the ref,no free kicks either.
  8. Huddersfield are as good as in the play-offs, they'll crush Stockport and beat Colchester who are diabolical just now. If Huddersfield were going to cave in it was when they were 3-2 down on Tuesday, that comeback was like a shot in the arm to them as they proved by beating Millwall. Sorry lads and lasses but great as our current run of form is Huddersfield have p*ssed all over our play-off chances with their 2 results this week, they won't cave in now. We just need to win them all and hope Charlton just fade away, don't think they will though.
  9. I think we tried those combinations earlier on and they didn't work out too well, Puncheon in CM was a disaster if I remember rightly. Unless James is really fit we'll go with Wotton in midfield again and I really don't see a problem with that, not against Oldham (although they need the points). What I fear is that all the huff and puff necessary to overcome Yeovil yesterday will leave us with not much in the tanks, still we can always rely on Rickie for a goal from nothing I guess. At least James or Wotton will be fresh legs.
  10. and can Seaborne actually play at right back? I know Dan Harding did the job for a while, if Seaborne had been an option I'm sure he would have played there. Seaborne is a lefty, just like Harding. If you want Seaborne at full back best switch Harding to the right again and put Seaborne on his natural left, not the best of solutions though because he is clumsy in the tackle.
  11. No but they won't "discredit" him with another red card either. He'll be suspended for 3 matches and be available against Southend. doubt if he'll play though.
  12. He left when a decent offer came in for him, to play for a 'big club' that will probably be in the CL next season. He wanted the challenge; moving on isn't just about money.
  13. but the red card against MK Dons was overturned on appeal and converted into a simple yellow card (or so I'm assured) So Morgan served a 1 match ban for a card that no longer existed.
  14. he was going to get a 3 match ban, I don't know where you all get this 4 match idea from. A straight red is 3 matches,an appeal considered to be "abusive" often adds one to that.
  15. what previous misdemeanours? He'll get 3 matches for this one because the other one was overturned and apparently converted to a yellow.
  16. My nerves aere being grated on by them letting that knob Merrington talk on Saintsplayer.
  17. Won't work for a professional foul.
  18. Who should be starting instead of AP's binkie Antonio.
  19. Correct, there's is no way Huddersfield aren't going to get 5 points from games against Colchester,Stockport and Exeter.Looks like the lads know that and so do Colchester. Going back to today, it would seem that that benighted tactic of shutting down Lambert has worked again.
  20. Anyway might have been Morgan's last game for us today.
  21. They wanted to get promoted, last night showed it was a bridge too far now they're getting held at 0-0 by one of the sh*ttest teams in the galaxy. Perhaps some don't want to move on but feel they must.
  22. Lads are p*ssed off because they know they'll be in this sh*t league for another twelvemonth.
  23. It's what comes of trying to turn a Derby colt into a steeplechase selling plater.
  24. Yep but they want the cash from 3 play-off games and us not to be one of them
