  1. Easy , I bought a ticket for MK Dons and gave it to my niece's boyfriend. I then got my son to go round to SMS when he was in the UK and buy my ticket with all the relevant details. It really didn't need much forethought. But then I do go to other games as well, about 6 a season, more if I can manage the time and the funding.London games mostly, I have a cousin who supports Charlton, we usually go to most Saints London games together.Charlton,Millwall,Orient this season so far.
  2. I do fear a lot of ridiculously small children and the clackety clack of knitting needles may be the order of the day.Still I won't tone it down for as much.
  3. Still a few fans seem to be getting sorted out with tickets even at this late hour, so the thread is worth something at the end of the day.
  4. But I think that if you turned up at their TO you could just pay and walk away no name, no pack drill. Not sure if Yorkie ever went over there or not.But there are Saints fans who have Carlisle tickets, they probably got them at the outset though fearing for an extremely low number of general sale tickets..as it turned out.
  5. Anyway seeing as their Chairman has said they will have to cut costs next season because of their poor gates I suppose OAPs starting at 65 is normal. 65 being the retirement age in the UK (or so it was)
  6. Did you never consider doing the 80 miles or so to Carlisle to get a ticket? Just asking
  7. It's a video game, I can kill 2 dinosaurs and 3 ghoulies with one shot of my exploding bolt cross bow on Tomb Raider, completely irrelevant.
  8. Anyway I would have thought that United's greatest attribute was the road roller like pressure that they put on defences (and midfields) by their continuous change of attacking formation.Kaleidoscope formation, that's what Utd play. Anyway I don't know if you all follow continental football but Bayern Munich have complained to their FA about the state of Schalke's pitch. They say they keep it like that on purpose to slow the game down.
  9. doubt if Antonio will be fit and Papa drifts in to the centre too much..
  10. I hope so,not a great Perry or Wotton fan myself. I'd even go as far as saying that without Morgan we will struggle. Carlisle are a proficient side and will close Lambert right out of it, especially without Barnard to watch over as well. If we start hoofing we'll be up the creek.
  11. That's by no means certain though.
  12. Soft southeners aren't we.
  13. I see that Colchester have signed Queudrue from Birmingham on loan. Good player should bolster their defence a whole lot,not good news for us really. See that Mowbray has gone as well , not very patient at Celtic are they. Won 17/30 good job AP wasn't manager at Celtic with his 17/37 record then.
  14. Looks like she's got a couple of extra balloons under it already.
  15. [quote=John B; By the way I quite like being in League 1 last night £10 for a ticket a win 5 goals a couple of pints a good evening out Yes but I guess if Messrs Cortese and Liebherr had wanted to be involved in League 1 for a while they could have arranged that for far less than the 20+ million £ that's it's cost so far. You have to relativise our situation . Big money(well quite a lot)= Big Ambitions and Little Patience.
  16. French system, know you're in trouble long before it happens. Unfortunately never applies to governments or civil servants.
  17. Good idea, that includes John Terry then.
  18. Seaborne, Puncheon,Otsemobor (I think) and Barnard are all cup tied.
  19. If we have anything like our normal JPT side out it should be easily enough. However if we were forced to start with a midfield of Wotton/Gillett/Deano and Papa with Rickie and DC in attack I'd think twice about predicting certain success. Idem if we have a couple of lads playing on injections it'd be not so easy.
  20. Although I don't really see how AP could have changed results like Swindon and Tranmere with the players he had available. Perhaps those we signed weren't ideal and that may be down to him but they've done well on other occasions. Signing Seaborne may cost him though, especially if he was preferred to another player like Elliot Ward, but then again we don't know what that was all about. I'd think we may change the coaches before the manager.
  21. I would have thought that would be considered as being sub par actually. 10 points from the automatic promotion places..there you're talking... I am convinced (because NC said so) that the money was allowed to be spent for us to make the play-offs and that in January. I really don't think he'll be a happy bunny if we're still 10 points off (which we won't be) at the end of the season. He may well accept somewhere between 3 and 6 points as being the minimum but in that case I really doubt that there will be any more net investment this summer.
  22. now if all those matches were drawn, that would really help us, but at the end of the day we'd need to win all of our games anyway. That's possible but these injuries are starting to hurt us and Sunday won't help either.Hope that we're not going to play injured players at Wembley and blow the rest of our season.
  23. Wotton probably isn't a really bad player in itself, last night he came on to do the job of a very good player and of course lost out in the comparison. The system is tailored on the attributes of Schneiderlin and as Wotton doesn't have them he looks not so great.
  24. Merrington doesn't have to pay for his ticket though so he's got every reason to be more gracious. I could just hear him on the subject, "What we don't need is to be paying for our tickets".
  25. Morgan has 8 yellows, reds don't count in any way apart from the suspension attached to them, the financial penalty and any constant rough play accusation. Puncheon is on 9 yellows, 1 more before the second Sunday in April (11th) would see him cop a 2 match ban.Morgan needs to avoid getting 2 more yellows before the same date. After that it's Deano on 6 and Harding has a good number of a tidy few as well.
