We have a single landlocked conflict that wasn't in Britain's long term strategic interest to become involved in. We are now involved in it and cannot extract ourselves without losing credibility. This conflict has coincided with the United Kingdom's effective bankruptcy. The conflict was visited upon us by the same politicians who were responsible for the economic crash and both events are to a large extent intertwined. The conflict is now driving an unbalanced defence policy and posture to the detriment of our real long-term interests, obligations and responsibilities. The article would be a good read in Buenos Aries especially with the new pipelines installed across the Straits of Magellan, oil exploration north of Bennie Land just about to kick-off and the Malvinas Basin up for grabs.

I wonder of the argies will have another pop at the Falklands in a few years time once the forces have been reduced to a shadow of its former self..

good...as in the times I.. Was delighted with pardew being appointed when the likes of NickG were "undewhelmed" Stated on more than one occaision that I believed we had the toold to get into the playoffs whilst so many others thought we could only hope for "just surviving" starting a few threads claiming how good we are and on one occaision claiming that we have the best squad in the league..and got called all sorts for it...including troll and unrealistic yes..I dont go as much as many but I dont just have a pop... seems people only read what they want to read

when I was a little lad and went to my first game back in 1985 (I was 5)..I stood in the corner next to the tunnel so I could see the players.. I will never forget that the adults around me at the time..all made way for me to get to the front and prop me up to see the players come out for the warm ups and start of the game.. some how, a old milk create was passed down to the front for me to stand on and everyone made sure I could see the game and what was going on.. now, i guess..that sort of story happens less and less as long as some morons can sing and swear for 90 mins.. fuk anyone else

at the end of the day..the JPT is not even a close second to promotion out of this league now wer are in the JPT final..yes it will be great to win it...but I would quite happily sacrifice being knocked out of the JPT in round 2 this season for a shot at the playoffs.. the league and PROMOTION is right (imo) no.1 in the clubs targets... and be honest..the league results lately have been average
