  1. Got to admit Les, you’re looking good for that £50.
  2. Couldn't have put it better than Les himself.
  3. So he's not "hurting" anymore?
  4. The Wapping boy is coming home.
  5. Exactly.
  6. It doesn’t say that all. You’re inferring far too much. Or maybe you just like the melodrama. An alternative interpretation is that the takeover happened last summer: assurances were made then to keep personnel and processes in place. The assumption, of course, was why mess with success. It doesn’t mean that things would remain the same should circumstances change -as they so disastrously have.
  7. What does it show - it’s all a blur.
  8. According to SOG, Hypo follows me around. Make your mind up fellas
  9. Why would he pal - I had hitherto not posted on this thread Anyway you have
  10. Not the Halo effect?
  11. "Probably...in January" - you're so full of Maidstone manure pal.
  12. Maybe for Trump, not necessarily the rest of us. Either way, there are still big hitters in his Cabinet (e.g. Mattis) and the Pentagon who oppose his direction on Iran and other issues.
  13. There are plenty of reasons, including Tillerson’s support for the Iran nuclear deal (not to forget calling Trump a f**king moron).
  14. So this one could be behind closed doors? Anyone heard anything?
  15. #sweetspotofthemomentumcurve
  16. Yep, most probably.
  17. We're not going to hire Hughes and then sack him for our preferred candidate should we stay up. If we stay up, Hughes will be our manager next season.

Not enough to halt the downward phase of the momentum curve, then?
  20. You must be very excited about the prospect of another Les joining the ranks.

More often we didn't have the players on the bench to make a difference. After Lallana, Lambert and Jrod, we had very few genuine impact players. But that's an argument for another day.
  22. Leaving aside Monty Python was a bit before my time, that's exactly it pal.

We have no idea how far this was true. Its lazy newspaper copy. Clearly Poch had a certain way of playing and liked to take the game to the big teams -and on many occasions, it bore fruit. But to say he didnt study the opposition or make adjustments is obviously ridiculous. And even if it was true, we have no way of comparing what would have happened had MP set us up in response to the opposition. One of Pellegrino's major failings is not that he didn't study the opposition in detail, its that he did it excessively.

Just like there's no chance that the Wigan game would be on a Sunday.
  25. Certainly funnier than your avatar pal.
