Boom boom. Long time no see Balders. How've you been?
-
Dave Rich - dear god.

Parts of the left definitely have a problem –Jewish banker tropes are too old and well-known for anyone to plead innocence. They’ve been a staple of the left since the nineteenth century, even if they’ve been much more of a French thing and today draw alot of their power from Israel's behaviour as a nation state. That said, it would be naïve to think that there aren’t elements weaponising it. There are examples all over social media of people who, no doubt, couldn’t give two f**ks about antisemitism and historically-speaking wouldn’t have been natural bedfellows for the Jewish cause yet are having a field day with this. Arguably the issue is being weaponised not only for party political ends but more generally for where you stand on the big cultural issues of the day (and Corbyn is seen as hostile to all things British).
-
It’s fair to say that English Jews, on the whole, vote conservative, a phenomenon that predates Corbyn. Thatcher was a hero for many - the most Jew-ish PM according to some- a fact not lost on sections of the left. The salience of Israel as an issue has only intensified the animosity between both sides - whether it’s triggering a load of halfwits and homers in the Jewish community who are prepared to defend the indefensible or hardening the self-righteousness of the left which has resulted in all kinds of murky and sinister conflations.

Eh? You make it sound like he doesn't train everyday or that he got injured as soon as he started. Fact is he's crocked pal. Its only a matter of when, not if he reinjures himself. We knew what we were getting when we bought him.

JJ- I hope you haven't been invested in the FTSE 100 over the past 5 years -no doubt its outperformed your business but its lagged every major market.
-
Didn't realise you were such a tireless campaigner against anti-semitism pal.

Jesus wept. #shylocksays

What happened to the subsequent after-tax profits we reported?
-
And he makes it tremendously easy for those who cynically conflate the two.

Not sure how much debt she wrote off - my understanding is that the last few years profits have been used to pay it back, whether in part or in full. In that sense, she has been taking money out of the club though that happened before the sale to gao.

You don’t challenge the gordon ramsays of this world by settling for second best.
-
He's a perfectionist pal. If only a few more in the club had similarly exacting standards.

It’ll be easier to enter and stay in Russia than Japan was.

Can probably add janmaat to that list too.

And perhaps it’s harder for women to get jobs in the warehouse (independent of ability and suitability).

Hopefully there'll be fireworks at the Grosvenor.

On the day that Trump announces plans to impose new tariffs on $50bn to $60bn in annual imports from China. You are literally wrong about everything JJ. Christ knows how you manage it

What Is The Most Amazing Place In The World That You Have Been Too

Don't forget Maidstone. -
Shame the rest of the swivel-eyed jihadists on that thread aren't so open-minded - just from a quick glance, you find headbangers blaming EU procurement rules for awarding the contract to foreigners; others suspecting hidden subsidies; others still fantasising about telling the EU to go whistle which would make the £50m savings look like peanuts; and still others fretting about all the migrants and refugees being trafficked over here by NGOs without a passport, blue or otherwise. I'd wager Grenfell gets a mention too. You're a funny bunch, to put it lightly

Most surreal place is the Eastern Qing Tombs 80 miles north east of Beijing. Up in the mountains, it was virtually deserted when I went, save for the odd tourist and a few local kids using the statues as goalposts. On the one hand, the place was straight out of Indiana Jones -its on the World Heritage site; on the other, it had all the life of an out-of-town retail park on a late Sunday afternoon. -
JJ get on message - your fellow oddball jihadists are livid over the transition arrangement, accusing the government of rolling over without even having its tummy tickled and now planning to board a boat and throw fish in the direction of the House of Commons. You're a bit slow on the uptake. To repeat one more time: the less happy the jihadists are, the more happy the currency markets are. Portsmouth Uni must be proud of you pal.

And one less screening the chuckle brothers in central defense.

Myth. With our two raw CBs and a lightweight Hoj/immobile Romeu in midfield, it's not going to work against better sides. It's made more difficult by the lack of a centre forward who can consistently win and hold up the ball and link with the second striker. Hope our 4-4-2 fanboys are big enough to admit it's a nonstarter in the league, notwithstanding the inevitable plea by some of wait till Austin gets back.

We benefited from the rule change when Villa made it to the FA cup final in 2015 IIRC.
