  1. And we would have got smashed pal. Your little experiment ended at West Ham. Leicester have too much pace in their side, especially as the immobile Romeu was struggling all game. That's not to say we shouldn't have taken more risks at the end of the game -or indeed started the game with a back four. But of all the things Les Hughes got 'wrong', not starting Long and Austin isn't one of them.

Not sure but LeG suggested he was in hot water in the buildup thread -and LeG has been right before.

Or maybe Carrillo isn't seen as a credible alternative.

Maya was our best CB tonight. According to an ITKer, Gabbi's in hot water and only on the bench due to lack of options.
  5. Seems like he's overreacted after playing two up front against Wigan (where result apart we were poor) and Wham (where we were shocking). After Long went off, we lost any pace in the side to keep their CBs honest. He did rectify things with Redmond's introduction but by then it was too late.
  6. Total nonsense. Leicester won't go down with Puel. For all his faults, hes much better than Pellegrino.
  7. How long did iheanacho have there?
  8. I know the feeling pal. It’s one of those things that you wish you weren’t proven right about.
  9. Of we fail to have a single shot on target. #thisissaintsafterall
  10. Where’s whitey grandad justifying this latest f**k-up?
  11. Years of Les Reed bull**** have rubbed off on some posters, it seems.
  12. Which season? 2008/09? That Plymouth game -Boxing Day iirc- was horrendous. And I don’t recall us playing Millwall that season. Or do you mean the 2005/06 season?
  13. You’re much more likely to win the FA cup if you have a PL quality side - indeed with the sheer number of games in the championship, teams chasing promotion are much more likely to field weakened teams for the cups than your average PL side, another poke in the eye to those who think that the championship is some kind of paradise lost.
  14. Much of this stuff is guff.
  15. You don't need to be in the football league to get into Europe - not sure what your point is.
  16. You'd take our five seasons in the championship (2005/06-2008/09 and 2011/12) over the last six seasons in the premier league (including cup runs and Europe which were conditional on being in the PL)?
  17. Skidmarks in those second hand 1990 hummel away shorts you were after pal?
  18. Well Stephens couldn’t get in our L1 promotion side.
  19. You’ve probably got him confused for Sissoko or Aurier pal
  20. Been excellent tonight.
  21. Agree. There are good games in the championship and L1 -often reflecting the ebb and flow of the game rather than our league position (thus our 3-2 win away at Preston under the Dutch clowns remains one of my favourite games); but nothing beats winning at one of the big clubs, silencing 50,000 fans, outsinging them and seeing their shellshocked, complacent little faces. Anyone with a competitive bone in their body wants to watch their side playing at the highest level possible.
  22. The opportunity to qualify for Europe - 7th is enough these days with the big clubs dominating the cups and should be a yearly target. European tours can’t be beat. The championship is a bore in comparison.
  23. Dear god.
  24. The COCs vs the Leslieites, a battle for the ages
