You said you'd rather have today's wage growth and inflation - presumably because you believe real wage growth is higher. It is rather simple.
-
Thats not the subject. So no evidence to support your claim that real wage growth has been higher in the recent period than the 1970s. Thanks for clearing that up.
-
Eh? You've explicitly stated that you would rather have today's real wage growth -or in your words 'inflation and wages growth'; presumably because you think it is higher than the 1970s; yet have provided no evidence to that effect. You do know what real wage growth is...
-
No that is not the number being questioned. We're discussing whether wage growth, adjusted for inflation, was lower in the 1970s vs. the recent period. The evidence you've presented cannot settle that question. Perhaps you want to try again and actually substantiate your claim.

Jesus wept, Nolan. You're not the brightest bulb in the intellectual chandelier, are you? Please explain how plotting RPI against output gap mismeasurement (degree of measurement error in estimating the amount of spare capacity in the economy) supports your point on earnings and wage growth during the 1970s. I didn't take a module in that at school. Clue: it might help your point on wages, if you included, you know, some data on wages (whether adjusted or unadjusted for inflation)?

Basically 11 Richard Chaplows?

Don't undersell yoursell. As ever, you've blathered and blustered and still managed to reveal nothing new. All those gems are in the public domain in one form or another. Ranieri. Check. A current non-English manager in the PL. Check (see stories linking us to Silva and Carvalhal). A third unknown manager. Nothing reported but would make sense (as would a longer list of candidates). Coincidentally it's the one you're vaguest about All you've done is play the percentages- bet (among other things) that Puel is leaving on the balance of probabilities and piece things together into a narrative. As I say, its skilful stuff. You have a keen sense for the foibles of human nature. Jack was a trailblazer. if you're not him, you're certainly a capable surrogate and protege.

We need more pace and power in the side - especially in the middle of the park. Redmond also needs more competition. -
Yep. Would say he had a pretty immediate impact, granted we were picking up in form before MP's appointment. The 0-0 against the Everton was one of the most lopsided scoreless draws I've seen. We missed chance after chance which made this season look clinical. At OT, I barely remember United getting of their own half in the second half. A fearless performance which went against everything you'd expect from an underdog playing away at a big four side. We then conceded a last minute equaliser at Wigan, again after squandering some great chances before rounding things off with the home victory against City.
-
How do you know this, may I ask?

Jack Schitt skilled as ever at playing the percentages.

Think nearly half of Long's league goals last season were from headers. He's underrated in the air. Bigger problem is that our crosses lack quality, especially from the right hand side while our build up is so slow before crossing that opposing defences have time to organise and get back into shape.

According to MLG, Austin is not injury-prone.
-
Long is all huff and puff, meat and potatoes, a primitive battering ram. Terrible touch and technique. If he was a band, he'd be Kasabian. He can do a job from the bench as a pest, albeit a rather expensive one. At least he stays relatively free from injury which is more than can be said about the statuesque and perennial tease Austin.
-
Surprised you're not squeezing in a quick nine pal.
-
He's one of, if not our top earner. Relatively speaking it's a waste to commit those resources to a bench player.

How many birdies and eagles did you shoot today?

What's the latest with the takeover? Are the media stories saying the club is contemplating a managerial change correct?
