  1. Pied is a converted winger (he's played most of his career there) - his natural instinct is to get forward. Arguably he has a more of an offensive instinct than JWP.
  2. Self-righteous twaddle. Why are you comparing us with Moyes and Sunderland? Sunderland have been treading water for years - Moyes is far from liked but there's recognition that problems predate his reign and there were limits to what he could accomplish.
  3. Still stand by this.
  4. Exactly
  5. Hope Les is reading this pal.
  6. #quietsummer
  7. Pied is a converted winger - so his instinct is to get forward and give us width.
  8. No doubt Les will be taking that into account during next week's performance review.
  9. Cheers. Missed that.
  10. Long out completely too.
  11. A fair bit of support for him on here.
  12. Nagelsmann is the hipster's flavour of the month. Wears a gilet too.
  13. You must approve then?
  14. Have been a big Schmidt fan. Made Spurs look pretty ordinary in the CL.
  15. A special little joke by a special little guy.
  16. Les got a promotion, so it must have been 'hits' all round
  17. 2.1/10 A failed blast from the past (for Puel insert MP etc). Thought you had moved on from that. Take a mulligan, little fella.
  18. They seem like a permanently aggrieved bunch.
  19. Would Pellegrini make Puel's lunch and pack his lunchbox too?
  20. Agree. Spoken like a true New Liberal (i.e. Hobhouse) and a luck egalitarian.

    Puel out

Remember the myth that MPs teams always tired in the second half.
  22. What does 'get better engaged with democracy' mean?
  23. Not sure what people want. Moaning about like-for-like subs one moment; complaining when Puel changes things up the next. People have wanted us to take things to the opposition; out of all our players, JWP, Davis and Romeu were the obvious candidates to make way for a more attacking option. Obviously subbing Romeu was a nonstarter, so really it was a choice between Davis (who also had a good game) and JWP. All things considered, the sub made sense.
  24. This has to be the dullest stat and doesn't pass the smell test. I'd say we were much more threatening and likely to score in the LC final as we got behind. You wouldn't know that from the statement as presented here. I thought we were decent last night, though pen and JWP's long range strike apart, but don't think Romero was really tested. For its part the united defense had to be alert but it was rarely pulled out of shape.
