  1. Just need to take care of business and united to return the favour next wednesday. #8thisthenew7th
  2. City already 2 up.
  3. What utter tripe, Mr Arsenal.
  4. So without knowing anything about i)what and who's being taxed ii) its level and iii) what taxation is being spent on, you maintain that raising taxes always raises unemployment and benefits costs? There's drivel and then there's drivel and then there's you pal By the way, dug up that link yet?
  5. No we don't. But crack on, you're covering yourself in glory.
  6. Trust you Lord P to cut through the morass and resolve the meaning of distributive justice and fairness. The Talmud, Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, More, Rousseau, Smith, Kant, Spencer, Hegel, Marx, Nozick, Rawls just to name a few - these ponced up snowflakes have been wasting millennia up their own arśéś when they could have consulted you instead. In fairness, I'd say a large number of people embrace a form of luck egalitarianism but I guess you've already thought through and dismissed that possibility, pal.
  7. And? Youre attacking an imaginary target that nobody here is defending. As with Trident, wage growth, French tax system etc, it seems to be your schtick whenever you want to change subject or can't engage on substance. Do you have that link btw? I only ask as I've been using OECD health data for a project and can't find anything more recent than 2013/2014. I'm assuming it's bunkum but would like to make sure -just in case I'm missing something.
  8. Sky News Twitter. Link? Seeds for the mysterical money tree? - can you write in fully formed sentences rather than gibberish. People pay for better funded services through higher tax: some countries are happy to do so, some aren't. Different countries make the trade-off differently. Not complicated stuff.
  9. What is the relevance of the chart to the point you're trying to make? Some context would be useful. Also have you managed to establish where you got the chart on growth in health spending?
  10. Yates smashing that smarmy cretin, Cruz, for six was amusing. Technically it wouldn't be illegal for Trump to tape those meetings as long as he consented to it. D.C. is a one-party consent state i.e. it is legal to record a conversation as long as one person involved has consented to it. Think the impeachment stuff is overegged - it's hard enough to get support for the establishment of a bipartisan select committee for the Russia investigation. Republicans in Congress, led by Ryan and McConnell, true of political cynicism have, so far, maintained a united front. For its part, the conservative media is now less pro-Trump than anti-anti-Trump. It doesn't need to defend Trump per se as long as Trump is doing such a good job of winding up liberals. Charlie Sykes, a conservative, wrote a good piece on this phenomenon in the NYT: https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/05/12/opinion/sunday/if-liberals-hate-him-then-trump-must-be-doing-something-right.html Perhaps as the midterms loom in 2018, those Republicans in tighter districts, realising they are on the hotseat, will grow a spine. Of course, not before their precious tax cuts...
  11. Don't think he was suited to Koeman's way of playing and ever got a fair shake. Technically would have been in a better fit in Puel's system.
  12. Yet bluemoon forum is speculating that a move to a team like Bournemouth would be perfect for his development. Young enough that the only thing he should be prioritising is game time in an environment that isn't too big and where he can become the main man.
  13. Yep just seen this. If the symbolism and 'optics' of the meeting weren't bad enough already -the morning after the Comey firing, Lavrov contemptuously cracking jokes and Russian photographers duping the White House as to their media credentials, Trumps now goes and tops things. Still keep your eye on the prize and play the long game: its all about that tinpot trade deal that Trump has 'promised' us.
  14. Yep. Would be excellent value for a 20 year old who's a natural finisher.

    Puel out

    Also according to AR-10/Jack Schitt:
  16. And that was for a relegated side with poorer talent around him.
  17. According to AR-10 aka Jack Schitt, we showed him around Staplewood last summer.
  18. And the top player in the league only averages 7.80. #splittinghairs #17thisthenew18th.
  19. Technically they fall under V). But I'll give them to you - it's an internet football forum, after all
  20. V) Throw in some bumbling, self-deprecating humour and give with one hand; VI) Qualify preceding statement, emphasising it's an internet football forum and immediately take back with the other. #textbook
  21. Don't undersell yourself. Sweeping statements such as "it's better to pour additional money into a system that's been fixed first" and "one problem with providing a "free" service is that human nature kicks in and it gets abused" (and that's barely half a page) don't strike me as the views of someone who's keenly aware of the fallibility of their own position and expertise. Your M.O. seems to be: I) Make grand statement without a whiff of self-doubt or qualification; II) Get challenged and backtrack; III) Claim it was based all along on a few observations from friends and family, thereby impossible to falsify; IV) Persist with general statement, notwithstanding homespun, local anecdote. An old family favourite. #textbook
  22. When was finishing 17th relegation, Glasgow #highlevelreview
  23. Player scores nice goal in otherwise dour performance and goal shocker.
  24. Individual years? No you didn't. You compared an entire decade -the 1970s with the 2010s. It's clear as day above.
