But we did significantly more defending than attacking in that game - for long periods, it was backs to the wall stuff as kraken puts it. Just look at the possession stats. As such, the graphic says alot about how we lined up when we were out of possession - the very aspect you've fixated on.
-
Mate, you're flailing. Its no disgrace. When have formations ever just been about when a team's not in possession - a totally arbitrary distinction, stitched up to serve a point. Even if you want to twist the argument in this way, its worth remembering that City had the lionshare of possesion -at one point they had 89% of possession, though overall it was 60%+. So arguably, the graphic is more influenced by our nonpossession average positions than the other way around. As such, even on your own convoluted terms, you're wrong.

Don't think they count but could be wrong.

Emmanuel Mayuka - Officially Signed on OS - Work Permit Confirmed

You f**king love it. -
Isnt the requirement two years?
-
Yes and no. Agree that Twitter and social media are simply shining light on all the dirty laundry that used to be done behind closed doors. BUT We're living in the wake of a financial crisis where credit and funding have been reined in and clubs are having to find more elaborate ways to fund deals and/or being more cautious when it comes to counterparties. And second, the transfer market is a lot more globalised than in the past - this deal involves not just one club but two clubs in two different continents.
-
Terms have been agreed with player, a fee has been agreed with his present club that owns 70% of the player...the hard work has been done,

Relax Bodge.
-
Relax ffs. Sure the battle reference is simply in relation to how drawn out and exhausting the deal has been, not any new complications or curveballs. Every i is being dotted and t is being crossed in blood.

Put him on the HCDAJFU thread back in April. Would be an excellent signing - better value than Matty Phillips. -
Post 107 http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?39554-Wigan-Build-Up&p=1453283#post1453283 God knows where the9 got it from. Top shelf stuff for statos.
-
You can call it what the f**k you want -and yes you can still it call it a 4-3-3. But who cares. Look at the graphs the9 put up for the City game, showing the average positions the team took up (mindful that this was an away game). That's a better reflection of how we really play -not how we line up in theory according to your fantasy comfort blanket.
-
You'll find that JWP and Davis have effectively played more like a second defensive/holding midfielder and Lallana has played in a much more advanced position - more like a pyramid than an inverted one.
-
You keep wielding the speak and spell chart you've artfully coloured in but have you actually seen us play? Lallana does not play in such a withdrawn position while the other CM has not played in such an advanced position. Indeed, JWP played further behind Morgan against City.
-
And West Ham would be even more fooked. Alas.
-
Rod Wallace - £10m+ (easily better than Theo IMO)
-
Iain Dowie - £5m, a goal every four games.
-
Lambert's been sold for goodwillie and £4m (in installments).
-
Being a man of deep principle, I'm sure you'll reserve judgement until you've seen him play
-
The QB role ffs? So he's going to be playing just in front of the back four?
-
Why are they a nightmare? Operating pretty shrewdly as far as I can tell. You want them to spread their legs and for a white flag to pop out?
-
If he's as good as suggested, you have to build the team around Ramirez and wherever he can do most damage -could be on the wing, could be more central (mindful that comes with defensive responsibilities). Anything else would be a waste.
-
QPR supposedly in for Mayuka with a bid of £3.5m - illustrates just how overrated and overpriced British players are. Def HCDAJFU. Very unlike QPR though.
-
Still don't see what more KD could have done this season - more a case of people assuming the worst will happen.

Never bought the argument that the Bologna chairman would blink first. Logically we have the stronger hand but when has logic mattered. Ultimately they have the player and many owners have been willing to cut off their noses to spite their faces.
