Just don't get this - Sims on for Armstrong??? Already looking like he doesn't know the game plan. Mind you, I think the Ref will win this for Watford.
-
OMG - Goal from Long within 10 seconds, then everyone falls asleep!!! FFS!
-
When he comes into the side the defence looks and acts like a shambles. He can’t read balls and is slow on the ball...sometimes when in possession he just stands there with the ball at his feet not know what to do next. He can play football...of course he can...but to look good he needs to drop two divisions.
-
Unfortunately the table doesn’t lie and they are a better team than us. Deeney out will swing it slightly for us, but probably not enough. As said above, they are a brutish horrible side and at home the Ref will give them all the calls. Need to maximise our strength in midfield with Hojberg, Lemina and Armstrong...Romeu on for Armstrong later for more bite if necessary. Whether Long or Ings...not sure...it’s going to be a hard slog all day for us up top. Result? 3-1 loss.
-
The telling thing about the Newcastle result is that they won because they consistently pass the ball fast into dangerous areas and have a fit natural goalscoring striker. We don’t on both accounts.
-
We never do well at SJP, but today the team look...well not like a team. Our defence is so fragile that losing Valery and Vestergard is a massive issue. Stephens is a liability. Ward-Prowse is having a mare...just too slow and poor decisions.
-
Think this could be a loss...Newcastle are a well drilled side and at home are always hard to beat...bit of a bogey team for us. Hoping for a sneaky 0-1 but head is saying more like 2-0 to the home side.
-
Wolves are a good side...not expecting any sort of easy game. If Ings is not available then I can see a problem getting to them and a loss. Would love to grab a 1-0, but it’s more likely to be 0-2.
-
Yep, that’s my take too...two crucial biased decisions from an old fat Lino that is worthy of A Prem level job. Disgraceful when you look at the effort put in by our lads. I just hope that doesn’t affect the team mentality when going into the next few vital games....we still need points.
-
Brilliant result. Thing is, you play your best players and there’s a much better chance you’ll win. Sims replacing Long made a huge difference.

Why don't Saints attack the Northam in the second half ?
Saint Fan CaM replied to Kingsland Red's topic in The Saints
I’ve always wondered that too. Perhaps we’re so unlucky at home we always lose the toss and the opposing team always decides to take the advantage?!? LOL. On a serious note, the question sits alongside the “let’s move the away fans to somewhere else in the ground” issue. Put ‘em in the Kingsland-Northam corner and cut their support in half. -
If we play like we did against Utd we have a chance of drawing or dare I say it, even a sneaky win. We won’t however...we will look sluggish, play deep, allow them to play the ball and basically gift a goal or two. We may get one back. 1-3.
-
He spoke very well. I also watched the Ralph interview...my word, how boring are those questions?! FFS change it around Saints! You just know every interview will end with the “...and just how important were the fans Ralph?” question!!! Is it not beyond the wit of man to find a set of questions that are not designed to lead the discussion?

A draw would be fantastic, but a tonking is much more likely. 3-0.
-
We did ok against a terrible Fulham side. Good to see Yoshida in defence again. If only we had a creditable front three we might actually be thinking mid-table rather than hoping Cardiff don’t pickup points in the next three games. Brighton game will be another must-win make no mistake.
-
This is a 50-50 game...not by any means a walk over or done deal. In fact I would go as far to say we'll end up with a draw or loss. Either would signal our relegation - a win would be great but would not signal our safety.
-
Just don’t ******* care now. The Board have allowed the club to decline terribly and now the ‘saviour’ Manager continues to select an idiotic non-footballing defender over a seasoned international. We are worse than all but Huddersfield and for that reason I cannot see any other than relegation. It’s no different to our last fall from grace....almost carbon copy.
-
Stephens selected and makes two crucial mistakes in the first 6minutes of the game. He obviously listened intently while enjoying his f*****g holiday. Just get rid of this useless excuse of a defender.
-
If Ralph had some decent attacking players at his disposal I would be slightly confident of us taking a point or possibly even three. But we don’t, so it’s 3-0 for me.
-
My word the level of uninformed naivety on here is breathtaking.
-
Sounds plausible. Trouble is we deserve to go down after some of the diabolical results we’ve witnessed this season even after Ralph has been in place. If I were a betting man, I’d put good money on us going down. The Board have completely let the club and it’s supporters down once again by ignoring the warning signs and complacently not signing a decent striker.

Saints 1 Cardiff City 2 post match dissection
Saint Fan CaM replied to Crab Lungs's topic in The Saints
So much wrong with today, but then the cast was set 3-4 years ago when we started selling any quality in the squad and bringing in sub-standard players. Officials were poor today too. Think it’s going to be real stretch now and IMO 70% chance we’ll go down. -

He was OK...that’s it. -
Can honestly see us losing this 0-2. Lack of decent fit strikers, clownish defending and Cardiff are on a minor roll...it’s a banana skin all day long.
-
Difficult situation...needed to thin the squad to improve the dynamic, but 3-4 years of squad quality dilution has left us in a highly risky position now with no one coming in to improve the situation. All our eggs are in the Ralph basket...let’s hope it’s enough to see us through to the summer.
