Agree with this completely…very competitive with JWP and AMN providing experience in central positions to boss midfield. Can’t see Ralph going for it though sadly. We need to start playing on the front foot from the start. Drop the risky Salisu long throws which just don’t work…ever. For me this is must win game…not because it will threaten the our survival as such, but to boost morale and help seal spirit within the squad. This is a big test for Ralph and his coaches more than the players and a game we really should win comfortably. The problem is in the scoring, so need to work hard on that as a priority. I’m going with 2-1 Saints.

And that’s why we needed a decent striker. Sorry but that was known by the club and in an otherwise great window, that could be the difference in us having a really good season. That and Ralph still now not knowing again what his best team is when trying to beat a team like Wolves - Diallo and Ely are seriously too lightweight for these types of games, as Perraud and Djenepo are a liability going forwards when playing a back four.

Anyone with even a modicum of football knowledge could see that Bazunu was left floundering because of the manner in which the ball was not hit cleanly. Only someone engaging with their foot rather than their brain would try to claim otherwise.

Ralph needs to play either Ely or Diallo - the two together weaken the team too much. My preference is leave Ely out - he offers little, particularly in defence.

Love that - seems to be a while since we as supporters get to see new signings behind the scenes and they all look to be very happy to be with us. Have to say (again) that Staplewood looks so damned impressive!

An excellent window bar the lack of striker, but something tells me that’s not going to be a problem in this revitalised new look squad. Genuinely excited to see the new guys in action. Well done to SR and the recruitment team - outside of the top 6-7 clubs, I think we’ve come out stronger than others. Not concerned about Walcott and Redmond to be honest…at the very least they’ll provide good support to the younger players. If CC can score goals maybe he’ll be in Ralph’s plans ahead of Salisu or ABK. Ralph really does have some midfield selection headaches.

Absolutely - what a superb player, brilliant servant for SFC and ultimately fantastic human being. As others have said, not felt as sad as this seeing a player move on. Big shoes to fill.

I said nothing about clauses or a ‘special’ SFC way…I’m sure if a buying club shows genuine interest their request for quiet polite negotiations will be honoured if the selling club is indeed honourable and genuine. You agree that not many of our signings are widely known, so that suggests there is some planning behind that.
