In terms of a club reset back in the Championship this deserves serious consideration. One of the reasons I’ve not been inclined to keep hold of my ST has been the awful atmosphere at SMS and unregulated away fans in home areas. Part of the issue with the atmosphere is the placement of the away fans - it’s just too easy for them to create their own intimidating atmosphere, sometimes making SMS feel like an away day! There are many possible solutions, however due to Police restrictions (apparently) it has to include the Northam end due to coach travel. The most sensible option then is to put them in the Kingsland/Northam corner or Itchen/Northam corner. I suspect ultimately though that the club just don’t give a monkeys toss as long as they’re getting the gate receipts.

There's nothing to suggest we'll win any more games this season - might get a lucky draw out of a game, but even that's unlikely given how fragile the team are. This really is the worst group of players, coaches and Manager in all my years as a Saints supporter. I think we'd lose to the relegated Sunderland side of a few years back and they were dire. I did actually have a small glimmer of hope 3-4 games back, but that's gone now. 2-0 Forest.

And todays lucky dip player selection is…WTF? I see JWP has made a miraculous recovery, bless. I doubt I’ll be watching…it’s just too painful. Can’t see anything other than a heavy defeat…who cares… let’s say 4-0. Respect to anyone travelling to watch the shit show that’ll be served up.

After switching off and leaving my thoughts behind last night I've just read through some of this thread. Obviously Selles and the players get dogs abuse rightly thrown at them, however my concern for some time (and I've written here before about it) has been the insistence on some kind of playbook that simply put revels in sideways and backwards passing, allowing the opposition to re-group and defend cohesively. This has permeated through the squad under the management of Ralph, Jones and Selles - possibly even before Ralph actually. It needs a complete critical overhaul. I'm not sure how much Ankerson has to do with team affairs and even tactics, but he has presided over a total shit show and must be held accountable in his role. It's going to be nigh on impossible to turn this squad around in less than a year, but somehow we need to lose the underperformers and attempt to keep the better players such as Alcarez and Lavia. I actually think there are players like KWP who are really good, but lack the right leadership. Without a seriously deep purge in the summer I think we're toast in Championship, however these deluded fools in the Boardroom probably think we'll walk it.

Utterly wank. Such margins eh? If only Che and Stu had been played from the start we might not have been clutching at straws late in the game. Selles is a total fraud. Squad composition has been awful for three to four seasons. We deserve to be relegated.

We’re playing like a league 1 team away against a Prem team at home. It’s really that bad and I’m sick of it.

OMFG - it was terrible but it’s getting fucking worse by the minute! I mean screw the Premiership but at least play football deserving of a professional football team!

This is seriously dire. I can’t remember watching such a poor performance in a must win game in all the years watching Saints. Just watching Walcott do a Captains job of relaying a message from the Manager rather than talk to his Captain. Says it all. The whole setup is shot.

There must be some decent youngsters coming through the ranks that are better surely? Beyond Tino (assuming he comes back strong), I think Bree offers as much for the Championship as AMN so it’s probably a no from me.

And THAT’s why we’re going down. Try to defend a lead for 30 minutes against league leaders and that’s the result. Selles you dim twat.
