That might be possible perhaps, but the key to a solution is to swap the home Northam side with the away Northam blocks. Provides an opportunity to maintain a strong home 'kop' and also provides a solution to marshalling away fans out of the stadium to their coaches. Frankly the level of trouble nowadays suggests there is little need for the Police to worry about the vast majority of away fans - the dorks that want a scrap will find a way to do so regardless of the segregation in place at SMS. IMO the club need to act...this is an entertainmemt business where atmosphere is integral to the experience and nullifying home support is a massive shot in the foot.

Adkins returns to his spiritual home to finish what he started?

Easily dealt with by creating a fenced walkway from the carpark at Northam/Kingsland corner round the back of the car park and down to an away in/out gate on Brittania Rd?
-
The easy and straightforward answer is to swap home Northern with away Northern sections - i.e. Away section starts block 43 and stretches around to 42-35 depending on the size of crowd. This would allow our 'Northern Kop' never to be changed from blocks 44 to 48 and Itchen 01-03. It would allow away fans to be herded onto buses etc in the car park or away from the Stadium over the bridge. It would just mean creating a ticket office on the Kingsland north corner somewhere which would be easy. Seriously - I don't think I want to experience such a poor atmos in a game at SMS again. Wake up Saints FC and act.

250 games of Schneiderlin: Your favourite Morgan moments?

Heard he's off this window from an ok source, but not sure I believe it will happen. -
Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-1 Ipswich Town
Saint Fan CaM replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Atmosphere was rubbish today caused largely by the manner in which our most vocal home supporters are split usunder by the stupid seating policy for away fans. Give them half the Itchen or find a way to herd them in the Chapel. Add this to kids spilling coke all over the place and for me the enjoyment of the occasion was spoilt. As far as the team were concerned I thought they all had a fair game except Tadic who was just a waste of a jersey today - Isgrove was far better and into the game. Incidentally, as far as Morgan is concerned, I've been told he's off this window. Not sure I believe it, but the source (friend of a coach) seems believable. -
Rogers seems to be messing things up royally at Pool - I would prefer Lambert stayed put and remained ineffective against us frankly. Love him to bits, but he made his nest etc....

Definite banner skin this one, as Ipswich are a decent well-organised side who will want to prove they can mix it with the big boys in the Prem. We will be without the skill and pace of Mane, however this has to be a great opportunity for Shane Long to have a full game and score I would have thought. Would like to see the likes of Seager finally given some game time too. Saints to win 3-1.

Oh how I agree with every word of this post! Well said Sir!

Great win. Wanyama def MOTM.

Winnable, but I think the ref and a stronger front line will see them win 1-3, with their third coming in the last 5 minutes as we try to find the equaliser.

Lets get something straight. The documentary is playing in the states because it will make money...I.e. from sports product advertising in the breaks. The Yanks love their success stories and this one that works well to draw in advertisers. If it pulls in any interest in Saints that will be a good thing, particularly if there's product branding involved somewhere.

Disappointing if true.

My take on the pen debate is this... it was simulation and the ref got it spot on. Watch Targett....he plants his foot on the ground and doesn't move it before the cheating Chelski player puts his leg to Targetts and goes over. They must coach this type of play at Chelski because it happened on more than one occasion during the match.
-
He had an OK game, however he was rooted to the spot when their goal went in - didn't even dive and I would have thought he could see the ball come in. Is this due to his size and not being able to get down to the ground quick enough?

Post-Match Reaction: Palace 1-3 SAINTS
Saint Fan CaM replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Fantastic win - not because Palace are anything to get excited about (watch MOTD tell us how poor they were), but because it keeps the winning run going while going into the next two games - vital for the self-belief IMO. Mane was better, but still had his moments of running out of ideas and falling over. Clyne, Bertrand and Toby were class...Gardos and Yoshida good too. Very pleasing late Chrimbo present and now really looking forward to giving Chelski a run for their money (but not expecting much). -
Eljero Elia - Confirmed 6 Month Loan
Saint Fan CaM replied to Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd's topic in The Saints
Pretty positive about this to be fair - low risk and everything to be gained for both player and club. I guess that if things look really bad for him we can cancel the loan and send him back pronto? If his Utube vid is anything to go by, he could be just the type of tricky fast paced attacker we're crying out for. -
Prepare for a mega-meltdown. This one could be embarrassing - Hull style. If we get a draw, I will see that as a decent result to stop the rot.
-
Sad to say the support from the Northam has been poor over the last few games at home - the rest of SMS need the Northam to lead everyone else, but one goal down and the ground falls silent.
-
This is the level of signing Morgan (for example) would expect to remain interested in staying at Saints. Point is, surely if you're a club intent on bringing through talented youngsters, the best players to buy will be seasoned pro's around the 28-30yr old mark for them to learn from. I'm not saying we will get this guy, but he's the type of player we should be stretching to get as he has a great track record and will raise the bar for the entire team IMO. Trouble is we probably need 2-3 of this type of player to halt the downward trajectory we're witnessing of late - this guy, a wide playing striker and a really top CF.

Mirror and Mail reporting we're in for him. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2874551/Manchester-United-Southampton-alert-Wesley-Sneijder-seeks-Galatasaray-exit.html

Mane is an absolute liability to this team. If he knows how to play pro football he's making a damn good case of trying to prove otherwise. As a team we look clueless, but then how many regulars are playing in their regular positions? Strange strategy...still convinced we'll lose this and end with 9 or 10 men.
-
We will lose this as we're not scoring and don't look likely to score. They will park the bus and hit us on the counter which we can't defend against. 2-0 loss written all over what will be a major cup upset. It will also be the start of significant mutterings of the possibility of relegation too, but that's unlikely with some of the dross at the foot of the table.

Yeah let's swap a European Cup winning Manager with one who's failed in the Championship. Seems to make sense right?
