Danny Guthrie on the other hand...

I'm with him. I hope there is a fecking winner tomorrow and it better be us!!!!

Was King Kong dragged through New York?? Or didn't he just get buzzed off a tower...
-
You're probanly wrong. Brighton could easily have beaten Reading. Brum could easily have beaten West Ham. Both games could easily have been draws, both could easily have gone the other way... Right now, this is how leagues work. Pressure tells. It's not about results you expect. It's about fine margins, luck, mental fortitude and the unexpected. Look at Wigan and QPR tonight. Some teams respond well to pressure, some don't. Some do some days... It's fecking brilliant!

I'm glad we didn't let the k u n t in. Representing a club that stole money from the poppy appeal? They deserve to rot in hell. Scum of the earth, And to think I used to want them to survive to enjoy these derbies.

Ah I knew it was a broadsheet! Gaurdian, Telegraph - both political rags! (Not bad memory for 20 years, I'm quite impressed, I thought I was getting alzheimers, what were we talking about again...)
-
Ah ok, well he's better than I thought then!

For clarity. The following characters did NOT ever appear in Captain Pugwash: Seamen Stains Master Bates Roger the Cabin Boy There, that should have saved us the £12k that the Telegraph were sued for, for suggesting otherwise.

I have a natural distrust of PRs but I follow Sibley on Twitter and it's great to have what appears to be a genuine fan talking about us!

Why, is he transferring to the Bournemouth Echo?

When I was young I said to my mum, mother what shall I be? Shall I be Pompey, shall I be Saints, here's what she said to me: "Grab your biro Son, and write a number one And teach them to sing as along And support the SAINTS!" We 'ate Lloyd Webber We 'ate Lloyd Webber... Tralala lalalalala Tralala lalalalala Tralala lalalalala Who the f**k is singing now?
-
You are quite right, but as at least one other poster on here will testify I sing the Nolans and Bee Gees... But you are also plain WRONG. I applaud when I like. Say, for example, when Guly (totally misunderstood and maligned by some of the less football intelligencia) tracks back and wins the ball and most people sit on their hands, blind to his qualities... Or when an opposition player scores a wonder goal which is worthy of appreciation whoever he plays for. And I start signing when it suits me and if others join in great. If they don't I look a prat. But then, you're probably sat in a red and white shirt watching 22 grown men kick a plastic ball around and swearing at them for not kicking in to someone in the same coloured shirt as you. So really, all this is a bit pathetic isn't it?
-
We were once actually voted the most in-tune fans. If you want to complain about anything, why not have a go at the blokes who sit near me who are plain and simply flat. And the three behind them who are an octave too high or too low and always a least half a beat behind the main body. And as for the tone deaf cretin three seats in front, he is the worst I've heard since they turned off auto-tune on a Cherly Cole recording and three bats came out of hibernation early...

Saints 2 Palace 0 - Post Match Reactions
Legod Third Coming replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
I feel I should interject some sense back into some of the comments on here. 1. Whichever journalist thinks Palace should or even could have won is a cretin and needs to be fired for misleading the public. In fact I would go so far as to say they are less credible than the man who claimed Elvis was alive living in a bus on the moon... 2. We were in second gear throughout, gifted more space than the Russian cosmonaut programme explored throughout the 60s and 70s... 3. Had we needed to, I am confident we could have scored 6 or 7 goals. Truth is, we didn't even try once 2-0 up. At one stage I counted over 20 passes going nowhere just retaining possession because we could, because Palace are frankly not very good. I love Dougie as a bloke but his tactics and failure to close us down was criminal. 4. Sat in the Palace Family stand, our fans were awesome. I know I was close, but apart from Billy Smart's circuis act with the drum, and a bloke screaming Eagles over the PA, the only sound was Saints fans. Stood up throughout and making a wall of noise. If any further clarification is required, let me know -
For the record. I got to football games to watch SOUTHAMPTON FC (although I admit I sometimes go to QPR and Charlton with good mates and choose to 'support' them for those games). I choose to WATCH the game (not stand with my back to the game goading some neanderthal in-bred from another club). I SING whatever the feck I like - I might even try an old Bucks Fizz number on Friday and see if we can get it going, maybe 'My Camera Never Lies'? I applaud whomever and whenever I like. And I don't give a flying feck what others think about this behaviour. If you do, maybe you should be spending more time in TopShop and less at FOOTBALL grounds... sigh.

He would not have made any difference on Saturday. He was good today, but my gran could have looked good in that midfield today. She died over 15 years ago and is still more mobile and robust than Palace's midfield. The exclusion zone around Chernobyl is closer than anyone got to Cork or Chaplow today....

Saints 2 Palace 0 - Post Match Reactions

Great result today watched from the Palace family stand Met some decent people, mainly more depressed than Alpine - not surprised watching that lot! Jack Cork ran that game but Palace were mental to play so deep against a team that thrives on possession,. I would go so far as to say that was the worst taactical performance against us all season. Unless we were given the freedom of Selhurst before I arrived?? -
How are this lot in the play offs??!!!
-
While that is very funny, you just know you're inviting him to score a hatrick right?
-
My biggest fear about today is not having a waterproof coat.
-
No, I agree with KP. You don't want players who have been relegated if you can avoid it. We ended up with a load of them and guess what, we got relegated! I would always rather buy players who are used to, or have created, success. For me money, Lambert is a far better striker than Doyle. And if we have Rickie, Lee and Sharp, what do we need another bench warmer for??!!!

Saints / Reading / West Ham run in: Games to go . . .

Not sure about that. P'boro managed to beat Reading and will always score goals! -

It is yes. Today has dragged sooooo long because I cannot wait until 3pm tomorrow!!! Although I apologise to EVERYONE. It is the bridge 100 yards from my front door which is being replaced this weekend which means no trains. Which means I have to drive to Palarse! -

At this point of the season NO games are easy for anyone. Teams who have 'nothing' to play for don't exist. There will always be players playing for contracts, managers managing for contracts and pressure on teams who need to win and worse on teams who are 'expected' to win... I wouldn't fancy any of those run-ins personally! This time of the season is all about patience and mental fortitude. -
Really?? You can't give a bit of credit for two unbelievable strikes?? If you're beaten from 20 yards on the volley with the ball coming down with snow on, fair play. De Ridder was closest to Norris, he could just as easily have charged in, fouled him and then they score from the free kick...
