  1. I think his heart's not in it here. Shame. I agree with you. If he turned it on, he's a very very good player.
  2. I shouldn't think Fergie really cares who we play does he? Berbatov could beat us on his own in the right frame of mind.
  3. What? A disruptive little scrote who needs his attitude knocked into shape? Really Nick? Let him go. He's a petulant loser. If he was a winner he would put his head down and work.
  4. Blackpool won't be relegated.
  5. Having Puncheon is a good thing is it? Frankly I'd rather have the clap.
  6. Yeah find that post... That's right. I thnk players given a choice between Liverpool and Saints will come here. FFS.
  7. I agree there is nothing wrong with those subs. The challange is that we appear to be a one man team. That man is out and we look a different side. Is that because: a) we are a one man team b) we don't adapt our tactics to play a different game without him c) coincidence? I don't know.
  8. Not really what I was saying, is it? A football forum means we can discuss and analyse every game - that's the beauty of the internet. I don't advocate extreme reactions with some lunatics suggesting a 6-0 win means we're going to win the league any more than 2-0 at Tranmere means we're not going to win it. But we can still laud and critcise in equal measure, each game. What I'm more interested in, however, is why we shouldn't aspire to win every game? Where does it say that losing is inevitable?? And why shouldn't we be bloody annoyed when we lose to a hopeless bunch of cloggers?? Our Chairman and manager aspire to win the league. It's their stated aim (not mine). I was happier being a supporter of a tin pot club who occasionally rubbed shoulders with the rich and famous. But our new ownership and management have set the expectation (not me) and shouldn't hide from criticism if and when they fail to live up to it. They don't appear to. So I don't understand why some fans get so tetchy when the likes of Alpine point out that they're failing to deliver on their promise?? Some fans still seems to be living under the mistaken belief that we are not the United/Citeh/Chelsea/Real Madrid (Delete as appropriate) of this league. We are. I personally don't like it. But then I didn't ever ask for it... And there isn't a consistent issue - there's an inconsistent one!!! That's the whole bloody point!
  9. Right so no point having managers, players or a forum to discuss them on then, righto... slap forehead emoticon... (By the way, how are Man United doing on the losing games front and shouldn't that be what we aspire to?)
  10. It is a poor result. If Chelsea go to Wigan and lose it is a poor result. Ancelotti is critcised and rightly so. That is my only point. I admire Adkins. I think he will do a great job here. But a proportion of our fans accept a defeat by Adkins that would have been unacceptable under Pardew, which is frankly bonkers. And then blame everyone bar the bloke who picked the team, tactics and set them out to play. Likewise, some fans (you) thinks it's ok for a 10/20 million worth of talent to get rolled over by Tranmere? How does that attitude get us into the Premiership exactly? We lack consistency and until we don't we will struggle to be promoted with the ease which our resources should deliver. I laud Adkins when he does well and slate him when he doesn't. Seems fair to me, since that's how my job operates. We all live and learn, after all. Just some things we should have learned by now...
  11. Actually, in my experience, fecking hundreds of them. Most running investment banks, governments, political parties, unions, the media... It's what makes the world a worse place.
  12. So there's no point having a manager on the touchline? What you seem to be saying is that Adkins is responsible for all the victories but the players are responsible for all the defeats? Is that a fair assessment? I'm thinking Adkins is getting away with a shocking result scott free...
  13. Then all the success is down to the players too right?
  14. I agree DD. However, I would finally like us to be CONSISTENT. We're playing like we did under Pardew. World beaters one week, Egg beaters the next...!!! I am convinced personally, it is down to Lallana missing and what he brings to the team in belief, talent, attitude and the way he scares the opposition into errors!!
  15. Apparently you said the attitude of the players was wrong yesterday. Sorry for being thick, but I thought motivation was the manager's job? (I should point out that I was being ironic. Clearly we don't need to change manager but I am getting a bit sick of him being feted when we win but let off the hook big time when we get a worse result than under the previous manager who was raosted for losing at Tranmere... For me, it's gone, but he needs to buck up the players and his own approach for the next game. I am sure he will.)
  16. All I want is a creative midfielder to replace Lallana. We have cover and bloody good cover in every other position but we don't have two players who can unlock a defence. We have one and he's out...
  17. So it's not new players that are needed but a change of manager??
  18. We send him to do community work until he wakes up and realises that when you have priveleges you also have responsibilities, and that professionalism in sport is everything. Or... You send around two big fellas with career ending hardware and tell him to buck his petty little ideas up. Ungrateful t o ss er!!
  19. Can someone go round and kick the cr4p out of Jason Puncheon. There are two and half million people out of work you fecking worthless pr i ck!!
  20. I agree. I hate the idea of a skipper in goal. Couldn't Fonte do the job? Or let Morgan has a go - it might be the making of him!
  21. This is a really depressing assertion and reflects our past not our present. You should never accept defeat as inevitable. And I bet you neither the manager or Chairman do. To improve, you should aim to learn from every loss and to win every game. United are unbeaten this season - unbeaten. And do you think Mancini is under severe pressure to deliver in every game or to simply roll with it and see how it pans out?? I still think we will win the league. I still back Adkins. But this result today is unacceptable to HIS ambition to win the league. Not mine, HIS!!
  22. This was a very very poor result. The previous manager was slated for it. This one should also be slated for it. Not good enough. Close the book, move on and in future let's play like a team worth several times its nearest rival. Thank You. (Oh and can we have a creative midfielder in the window in case Lallana is out for a while?? And can we give Bart a run in goal to see how he goes?)
  23. Can people now accept we need to buy a creative midfielder to replace the injured Lallana?
  24. We can all joke. We can bury our heads in the sand too. The truth is Bournemouth are better than us currently. Is that acceptable to our Chairman?
  25. So what has changed? Are we now consistently beating teams worth 10% of our squad? No. Why?
