The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread

Although, if we only announce a signing tomorrow night or Saturday morning, Plymouth have no chance to plan for their inclusion... -

I reckon the judge will do a big long speech which makes it seem as if HMRC have lost the appeal, then rip off his robes to reveal a saints shirt with 'I 8 Pompey' on the back, and send them to their doom.
-
Every team is the same though. Without Rooney and Berbatov, United are short of options. Without Drogba and Anelka, Chelsea wouldn't be as good.
-
Yeah I think it is, and I guess you're right.

Keep up the good work. Now to find who the mystery suit men are, and whether Lallana is training.

I just can't see HMRC winning. I have no legal grounds for this feeling, I just can't see Pompey's life support machine ever being switched off.

I'm a great fan of FIFA, but the thing that annoys me is that all Premier League players are better at everything than all League one players, which is clearly not the case in real life. For example, there's no doubt that Michael Antonio is quicker than say Paul Scholes, and noone could argue that Cesc Fabregas is a better header of the ball then Rhadi Jaidi (probably), yet the premier league players are just better across the board. If they could accept that lower league players are sometimes better at certain aspects of the game than top players, even if they are significantly poorer overall, the game would be better IMO.

Didn't Matt Oakley score a peach against them? I've been at all the games we've played against them at St Mary's but they all seem a blur.
-
Saw a quote from Dave Jones in the paper today complaining that Pompey are being treated differently to Cardiff.

This rumour first appeared on the football-rumours site. You know, the one that prints any old sh*t you send go them. They reported that two of our scouts were going to watch him play in a friendly, when I'm fact one of the said scouts was in Switzerland and the player was with the England under 20/21-squad.

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread

I hope we're wrong, but I tend to agree. I feel like there's something not quite right and that those expecting more signings will be disappointed. Very happy if I'm proved wrong though. -
Think I'll know whether to be excited or nervous when I see the team sheet. How long before kick off does it usually come out? Usually in the pub...

Congratulations to the man...

Amen to that. Let us all follow in his footsteps. -
The referee for Saturday's game is the same one that sent Morgan of at Stadium MK in the JPT semi first leg.

Lol at getting to see the Southend programme. -
I'm excited but not as optimistic as I'd like to be.

Anyone planning on going tomorrow? I'm in London with a couple of hours to spare...

What exactly are people frightened of?! lol And don't worry, Cortese got his letter to the other clubs in first http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/8273180.Cortese_s_worries_over_league_funding/ -
Hi Sue, if you're going to be on the strand may I recommend The Lyceum, which is unsurprisingly by the Lyceum theatre. It's a Sam Smith's pub and therefore has excellent ales, lagers and spirits at really good prices. A Pint of their delicious Stout costs about £2.40!
