Anyone else running out of patience with Fry ?

Maybe, but as i was told once you don't get given the keys to a house and inspect it through the letterbox unless you are a gynaecologist. Are you suggesting Buctootim that he didn't look beyond the £500,000 as I suspect the Swiss had theirs ready to handover but got cold feet competing with a bid backed the greatest Saints Legend. Would be nice if there isn't an official report post completion to stop the speculation then someone gets the book rights. -
Is that Credit Suisse at the end of that rainbow?

In Mole's defence there are plenty of accounts that the Nazi's stripped the assets of the jews in WWII and deposited it in gold in Swiss banks. After the war and Hitler's death what do do you think happened to those gold reserves? His avatar may have been perceived as offensive but to others it may have been carrying a pertinent message that may still need to be answered. My knowledge of the whole scandal is far from perfect and i know there was subsequent campaigns to return the money to it's rightful owners but I don't know how successful that was. Every country has to deal with it's less glorious moments in history and Mole just happened to open a closet the Swiss prefer to keep shut I guess.

To remind us when the fans and Crouch got it so badly wrong and bought on the shortest slide to the jaws of extinction. It should most definitely serve as a reminder to the majority of fans to concentrate on what they know - football.

How was MLT conned? Lynam and others on here kept telling us how intelligent MLT is and not to underestimate him and his ability to act in a senior capacity. IMo he can't be a shrewd and savvy businessmen and potential saviour of the club and capable of being conned the next. -

Has a different agenda to the rest of us so difficult to be objective. If any part of the role he has played is questionable it is the reasons that made him confident in the Pinnacle bid to give them exclusivity over the Swiss bid. I don't suppose we will ever know but IMO that has undoubtedly lost the club ground to plan effectively for the new season and I assume has also cost the creditors as I would have thought the Swiss were able to negoitate a discount on their original offer. Afterall, Fry went back to them allegedly cap in hand, hardly a great bargaining position. Pinnacle is the route of all this and how Fry was convinced. To all the experts in this field do you think we will get to know the truth? Is there such a thing as a post administration/takeover report for public consumption? -
Or Philip Schofield's head.

Were you trying to park your car at the time? Is it me or does Heather Small talk like she still doesn't know what action to take after your liaison?

Don't think so see Wes's last post above.

FFS - Wes I am now once again in a state of flux. It seems my thoughtful son bought my Christmas gift The Complete Oxford Dictionary off an Ebay user based on the west coast of Africa. Just off to check my bank statements.

My dog will never get in those stilletos

Or George Burley;)

I need to review what I posted as I'm not sure it is how you quote me.

Not anymore thanks to Wiltshire prompting me to get off my backside and get the dictionary out. Just need a chiropractor now.

Nice try Wiltshire but 'since' gave it away. Of course the correct use is: fourfold fivefold sixfold sevenfold The one you were having trouble with is... eightfold

Several is a bit blase and not much good for golfers. How many times did you hit the little ball with your stick to get it in that little hole. I hit it thrice - well done its a par 3 hole. Next hole.... I hit it several. Several? Yes several. Several what? Oh, I don't know I hit it fice. Well done its a par 5. Sorry WSS I'm not sure several cuts the mustard as you need to pin another word to make sense and its to vague when you need to be specific. 3 times and that's our lot it appears for a language with more words than any other, we don't have a word for 4 times. I suppose we could say once and thrice but not good word economy.

Trousers the best option for Cedar would be to encourage the club to produce a programme that people want to buy as oppose to being a means to help them identify the opposition players and increasingly our own. I take your point about smaller creditors but seriously that burger seller needs a new career for the good of his health. I used to enjoy the programme briefly for the musings of Crouch but Wilde's was just a waste of ink IMO, but admittedly not much. As for poetry in a football programme....bad enough on football forums.

we tried to get the club sold not once, twice, thrice or quadruple. Not what I was looking for Wes. If the English language provides a word to describe on it's own a number of attempts i.e once, twice or thrice why stop at 3. Quadruple, Quintuple doesn't really do the job does it? Quadruple he tried? Don't know as I am no expert on English but perhaps as a nation of triers we are only allowed 3 attempts and the give up and walk away. I suppose we could have fource and fice but six is going to be difficult.

Barclays, Aviva and HMRC I expect to survive regardless of our club's state of health and the 'woe is me' attitude of some of the forumites and echo readers.

I think he may have forgotten what hat he is wearing today because of course the club are not in administration. Perhaps if the club was liquidated the name for the new club is staring us in the face Southampton Leisure Holdings FC.
-
Thrice - a nice old fashioned and unpretentious word that should make a comeback in my opinion. Are there words to describe 4 times, 5 times etc just in case they are needed for Fry's final report when talking about exclusivity periods etc.

Time is a great healer but its hard to let go of those days of stability and moments of glory. Reminds me of that line from Kipling's If - 'If you can meet with triumph and disaster. and treat those two imposters just the same........' .... Unfortunately unlike Kipling's wish many fans of SFC have proven they have no desire to be classed as Men but unsupportive moaners and whingers continually disappointed by unrealistic dreams and expectations. Moreover, most have no idea how to even attempt to achieve those expectations and so quick to chide and bully those that do. Marching without purpose has become this clubs overriding theme tune and it's obsession with making a Lowe a scapegoat when a little introspective thought may be required. 'If you can dream - and not make dreams your master......' Let the Lowe hatred go and why pin it on the new owners? Perchance to dream?

Az, allegedly some may say you were a bit previous with that aerosol spray.

Firstly, Kelvin Davis was absolutely committed to this club and it was well known he wanted to stay. Not sure how that makes him an idiot. Secondly, a players career is short and he needs to make adequate provision for himself and his family, the same as the rest of us and the security of a contract I suspect was in the forefront of his mind than his selfish need to play every game as 1st choice. Not sure how that makes him an idiot Thirdly, he can only join a team who come in for him so I think we can assume he wasn't offered a No 1 choice at a Championship club so not sure how that makes him an idiot. Finally, if the Swiss had not taken a guarded approach to let the Pinnacle Circus and legend mascot into the driving seat for a media joy ride and ridiculous and unnecessary delays I have no doubt Saints would have been in a position to secure Kelvin's services to the end of his playing days but time has run out and clealrly Kelvin can't afford to wait any longer with NOTHING CERTAIN. So who is the idiot? Hopkins, Lynam, MLT, Fry, Crouch, McMenemy (did he come out in support of Pinnacle at the 11th hour?), Fialka or Kelvin Davis? I don't know the answer but it's definitely not Kelvin. Are you the idiot Hopkins?
