  1. Gordon Strachan or Kevin Keegan
  2. 'I helped fly a plane' ....will the BMW driver please stand up. 'My daily hack'.....will the BMW driver please stand up. 'I don't need it for a penis extension' Correct as most BMW drivers are tarty estate agents or big knobs. Thanks for the insight into mesh covered petrol tanks, yawn, yawn. You're right though about BMW nothing special just like their dealer network and service pricing. What is it these days £150ph to stick a Usb lead into a slot and change the oil and tick an observation sheet. You're being screwed old boy - time to widen you narrow minded and boring horizon. Go buy an Audi the new boy racer for the middle class 40 something.
  3. Hope this has been resolved. Surprised by your elementary mistake and compounding it when all you needed after this first 6 litres was a bucket and a length of hose and preferably a wife or a girlfriend or god forbid your Mum as a last resort. What doesn't surprise me is that you drive a BMW. You'll be telling us you are trading it in for an Audi next. Great cars for inconsiderate, arrogant and dangerous drivers who think they have made it in the world. Don't worry JB we have all been there and you'll get over it, just ask Clarkson.
  4. You ****?? Would a dictionary help Toadhall?
  5. I expect you're right, Mr Gaga
  6. Blimey Adrain that's a bit gloomy even for me. That's probably less than 10,000 ST sales and I would be surprised if many of those with a option to renew do not take up that option and that is about 9,000. If we dip below the 16,000 mark and the nemesis factor has been removed then many will be questioning the commitment of our fanbase. Personally, I don't believe Mr Liebherr will bankroll the club to any worthwhile extent unless he see's his support being rewarded throough the gates. The product is there the promise is back so why such a gloomy prediction?
  7. Nicola Thingy? Says all we need to know about some fan's respect of our new owner and his team. Grave pity that Wotte's dignity is not reflected by those he showed nothing but professionalism and respect for their feelings and desires as fans of this club. I have decided it's not the sacking that has tarnished things for me but the reaction of many alleged fans on this forum. I wonder how many will be trotting up to put their money where their mouth is. BTW, Dragonov, excellent post and I share your concerns whilst welcoming the investment and hopefully stability that this will deliver. However, we are clearly dealing with some ruthless and driven individual's IMO and if support is not reciprocated by the fans, we may be cropping up on RightMove.
  8. Don't underestimate our fanbase. Where was the 32k sell outs at the end of last season. I think everyone concerned will be happy with average crowds of 20k and ST sales of around the 12k mark. Anything above these would be a great bonus anything below a major disappointment. In 2 days I'm not sure Mr Liebherr has grasped in that time 'what keeps our enthusiasm up' as ST sales are an economic and administrative necessity as for the club and not simply a way of maintaining a bouyant mood. Those types of decisions remain to be communicated. Mind you very pleased my 2 ST will cost me £184 less than last year. How they have rewarded the loyal fan from last year is so unreal for me and most pleasant.
  9. Griff we would be about 8/1 if we started on 0pts. Take into effect our current squad and the fact we don't have a manager and no real measure of intent from the owner, that will come with Wotte's replacement, I would keep your powder dry for this season and enjoy the ride. Personnally at this stage I would want at least double those odds and a 1/4 the odds first 4. Terms you are unlikely to get, maybe better off buying Saints on the points spread if you fancy them to do that well.
  10. I would echo those sentiments whilst taking on board the balance of John B's and Buctootim's comments as well. We can all do our bit but at the same time I would hate it if we were to become slave to every whim of a rich owner. For instance I would love to see us hold onto our homegrown talent (unless common sense dictates) and buy players within our means and not simply reply on the wealth of Mr Liebherr, unless urgent need dictates. IMO, Mr Liebherr provides us with a fantastic and safe foundation but I don't want him to throw his money around like confetti. Success that is won is twice as sweet as success that is bought and 10 - 15 years ago how many Chelsea shirts did we use to see in our schools on our local high streets? For me Chelsea is the one club for whom I have an intense dislike because in their analysis they have not earned but simply bought their 'success' and as JB mentioned have acted like spoilt prima donna's along the way that is reflected in their 'plasticky' fansbase. I strongly value the core beliefs and history of this club and don't want to be viewed as the Chelsea of the south coast as it all becomes a bit meaningless. Whilst, I understand the nw board's decision to part company with Mark Wotte the way his exit was managed and the treatment of a dignified and loyal man was not appropriate IMO. However, I am very grateful and happy with Mr Liebherrr's purchase and infinitely more preferable than the Pinnacle shambles that so many championed as the best solution for the club and who are now jumping around like the excited ship rats they have become prostituting themselves at the feet of any consortium who they felt could deliver. How happy am I? It's an accentuated form of the relief that I felt after we beat Sheff Utd to stay up the season before last. I will watch with considered interest how the new board settles in and how our support is reflected in ticket sales. Most important of all will be who we appoint as manager as that will be the first measure of intent, firing is the easy bit, hiring a successor another thing entirely if they are working to a League 1 budget as suggested by Mr Oldknow.
  11. Retirement beckons.
  12. Maybe, he certainly seems to walk away when the going may be getting a little tough for him. Suggests he can't take a beating.
  13. I agree the timing especially is odd being given a year's contract a week ago when he had another job lined up and allowed to talk to the cameras this morning. Sack the man if that is what you want but don't publicly make him look a bit foolish - he didn't deserve that. Very ruthless and if it's to pave the way for a 'clean break' for Strachan then foolishly hasty as well IMO. It's going to be an interesting few days and the treatment of Wotte has for the moment slighted tainted proceedings and hopefully they recruit better than they fire.
  14. Offix shouldn't you be doing your chamber maid duties in your 'vegas' hotel. The housekeeper will be after you.
  15. I would like to echo those sentiments and I feel he acted throughout with great professionalism and dignity a trait that at times is severely lacking in football. I'm surprised by the decision in particular it's timing and would have liked him to prove that he is a good manager competing on a level playing. Lets hope the new manager represents the clean break that the Mr Liebherr is keen to promote.
  16. I expect you're right
  17. You are joking aren't you?
  18. The problem is correlating the appointment of Strachan with their comments about the need to have a clean break from the past. Perhaps ML knows Martin Jol.
  19. Thanks for the reminder. I need to change my avatar now we know.
  20. Name a stand - god please no. Nothing is proven and he even won't admit to it. The Echo article is a report on 'talk' which to me could mean hearsay. Personally, I will reserve judgement until we know exactly how much he contributed and under what terms.
  21. He didn't say solely responsible Daren so stop twisting what people say to support your own argument as usual.
  22. No, Baj would have to upgrade the server and anyway I have said it all before and I am not alone. Lawrie chose his path and in my opinion unstinting loyalty to the club wasn't one of them.
