  1. What you talking about Willis? Kenny Everett was about as funny as **** Emery. Dom Joly has to be given some credit for Trigger Happy TV took the whole candid camera thing to another level and killed it dead at the same time as it could not be surpassed. Everyone I know is raving about Flight of the Conchords but I keep missing it. Any good? Still haven't weaned myself of Mock the Week repeats on Dave tbh and btw Hugh Dennis is deliberately smug and has a razor sharp wit. Take him and frankie Boyle out of that programme and you don't have one.
  2. I expect you're right
  3. Aren't all celebs the same or would you expect Johnny Depp to take you for a beer? Unsolicited ice breakers should be treated with the contempt they deserve.
  4. You're welcome because you are of course always right in your opinions and I understand that.
  5. May is ok but Clarkson is busy eating himself and Hammond has moved into kids tv and that better suits his puerile sense of humour. May's recent programme celebrating the 40th anniversary of the moon landings was ten times more entertaining than the sh1te Top Gear churned out on Sunday. Bring back William Woollard as i wouldn't mind a programme about cars I could actually buy or even aspire to. Now I must go and tell my teenage son to start saving for his Volvo Turbo estate or some obscure Hyundai coupe. Why can't worthy and informative be funny as well - James May can do it as his recent programmes has shown plus his wine tours with Oz Clarke. TG is repetitive, predictable and toe curlingly embarrassing at times with their staged events and faux acting.
  6. Oh btw not surprised not many are keen on Michael McIntyre despite the fact he is very good. Saints fans have an prejudiced aversion to well educated accents. Who says Pompey fans are pikey?
  7. Have to agree with Bill Bailey, saw him live in London last Christmas doing the last shows of Tinselworm and was brilliant, unique and very funny. One of the best bits was his suggestion about joggers and people bothering him in the street. Vic Reeves and Eddie Izzard are also required viewing. Izzard's Death Star Canteen is brilliant and he was doing the animals thing long before Gervais. Who is Mike Osman?
  8. I doubt it, it never did for Rupert Lowe.
  9. Couldn't agree more. Wotte has shown tremendous loyalty and integrity far more IMO than other more revered faces in and around the club. Without question he deserves to have his loyalty rewarded and with some modest financial backing he has the potential to deliver in the long term.
  10. I take it GM you weren't at last season's home game against Doncaster. In line with FF's post above it's time to forget the past and build new memories with those who can still be bothered to carry on.
  11. Must be clean sweep for me Robbie I'm afraid we have been let down my to many old faces and time to put our trust in someone new. I like your avatar - let's hope this time it proves to be a prophecy worth believing.
  12. Not your finest moment.
  13. Quite, at least we still have something to talk about after the club's passing.
  14. NSS, please confirm if you play golf regularly.
  15. Not bad considering he has not looked as good as he did IMO after the arrival of Pearson who seemed to single him out as partly the reason for our form at the time and playing him at LB. May as well played Idiakez at CB with that logic. Always good to see local talent do well and I hope Surman starts playing with a bit more confidence and joy as at his best he was a good player for us with stacks of potential.
  16. A decision as bizarre as the fans returning for the Charlton game and having second thoughts for the Burnley game still unable to pack the ground in the hour of need. Game not big enough perhaps? Perhaps Lowe's decison was based more on 'whats the point'? The capacity for apathy and whinging amongst our fanbase has always astounded me with a desire at times as languid as the persona of at least one of our legends IMO.
  17. Perhaps the Swiss want a professional at the helm?
  18. Wes, one day you will wake up from your land of make believe and accept the terminal decline started the day Crocuh decided to back Wilde. Last season was pretty much mission impossible because of the already perilious state of the finances and without the misguided fans who deserted the club in their hour of need the miracle was that Lowe still nearly pulled off the impossible. You will never get that as a supporter of the boycotts. Of course what has happened now is that the adminsitration supporters have taken us over the precipice and in freefall are desperately trying to suspend time before our collective heads smash against the rocks below.
  19. How much? At this rate we could finance another season playing the kids managed by our DoF.
  20. Correction - you have zero interest in the football club.
  21. Quite a few but those two asylums have just withdrawn their support. Bottom line anyone advocating liquidation over any loony willing to take us on is not a fan who regularly attends games and therefore will not mourn the club's passing as much as others. IMO you have to be a border line lunatic to even consider taking on the chairman role that once the euphoria of saviour has died down you will be lambasted within the first bad run of results probably 2 draws and a defeat. Before long our forgiving fringe and famous faces will be parading paintings with a noose hanging above your head. Oh how we laughed...... Welcome to SFC.
  22. The rope needs to be slackened before being tightened?
  23. I have been pondering this question my self and the only explanation I have is that at the start of exclusivity, Pinnacle were able to provide proof of funds and in the time between that and furnishing the FL with the same proof they were no longer able to for whatever reason. Pure conjecture on my part but in the absence of any answers from those involved difficult to conclude otherwise without some damning accusations.
  24. Like it will be any different under the new owners largely thanks IMO to MLT and all those who supported Pinnacle. Lowe sealing DMG's services on a 3 year contract seems to have done more to save the short term future of this club than any Saints personalilites and donations to date so perhaps he could come for a 3rd spell and this time the fans actually support him in his difficult but necessary decisions. That said if I was Lowe I would give one brief hand gesture to the idiotic minority and move on.
