  1. What happens if I accidently press f6?
  2. And you were jumping for joy when Pinnacle wheeled out Fialka? Losing a relative is a good analogy IMO except you don't always enjoy time with your relatives - even a better analogy than I thought.
  3. To be fair Nick you could just change the names and wind the clock back.
  4. Andy I hate to disappoint you but we will NOT win our next 8 league games but have a very decent chance of winning 5. Norwich (a), Leeds (h) and an in form Swindon (h) are not exactly win bankers. However, we do have a relatively easy run in with only Charlton in our last 10 games likely to challenge us in starting the game as comfortable favourites. We have an outside chance but no need to start heaping pressure where it is not required or appropriately targetted IMO.
  5. Couldn't agree more and as SOG mentions it make's Cortese's comments all the more surprising and ill-advised and poorly timed regardless of who they were directed at. Wanting 3pts away to Wycombe on the 23rd Feb is one thing but Norwich on the 20th Feb?! A draw in that game would be an immense result even without the extra pressure now heaped on the team courtesy of the demands of our CEO.
  6. That maybe so WS but what did he do with that advantage? All speed and tricks and little end product IMO.
  7. The parallels with BWP are alarming and lets not forget that is the second glaring miss from Waigo this season from a few yards out. MOTM? Tot to big in that half time flask for some.
  8. Thanks, thats what i thought and why I think they will get the 28 day 'stay of execution' as that is what it amounts to.
  9. Exactly, so Redknapp can't be blamed for the failure of Portsmouth has CS was suggesting regardless of what people may think of him personally.
  10. Daren I think you have a very short memory and whilst I have no sympathy for the people won are responsible for this mess, I do feel genuinely sorry for their fans as like us they have in the main some decent supporters who have made their feelings clear by withdrawing their support in the run up to this day. We are lucky to have a larger supporter base but given our crowds now and where they were post relegation from the Premiership we had our fair number of supporters who made their individual protests and it is unfair in the extreme to suggest their fans are deserving of their fate for the same reasons. The fans have little control over the finances of a club and it's choice of travel arrangements.
  11. I agree that appears to be the case but that's a different argument and the comings and goings of Redknapp are really small change compared to what has gone on at the ownership / CEO level IMO.
  12. On that evidence WS I would have liquidation as favourite! But wouldn't administration in theory would allow the club to limp along not indefinitely but longer than it deserves I would have thought and without payment. Is the 28 day adjournment a 'pay up period' or liquidation becomes definite?
  13. Not sure how you can blame Redknapp he is not the one holding the assets and if anything can only be blamed for raising their level of spending in accordance with the expectation he delivered. If his spending was out of line who authorised it?
  14. I differ slightly and would have the 28 day adjournment as even money favourite and administration at small odds against. Not sure if they count in these instances but wasn't a precedent set by Notts County vs. HMRC when Notts County won a 28 day repreive. Also given the seriousness of the situation isn't administration giving Pompey the opportunity to let this run beyond the 28 day adjournment limit which given everything that has gone before somewhat unfair in the eyes of all of us tax payers?
  15. Puncheon is cup tied are any of our other new signings? I'm assuming they all are.
  16. 'Changed the Stockport game' I think Gordon you could have run on on and did that. I stand by my belief that Papa and BWP are very similar players apart from the speed of the former and remember BWP didn't have the freedom to play at this level but in one of the hardest leagues in Europe, 5th I believe behind the big 4 leagues. Considering where Papa originates from you would have expected more a bit like the more we expected from BWP when we arrived from Man City. I apologise for the insult but Bradley is a big boy and he will get over it.
  17. Be interesting if we get a good result on Saturday and then lose honourably at fortress Carrow Road. What will Cortese do for Pardews p1ss poor failure at bringing back 3 pts from that game? Pardew's programme notes made very interesting reading tonight and it seems it has been clear in his mind from the start that the league was not realistic given the points penalty and it was his decision to focus on the knockout cups instead. Now that has been apparent to those of us who have been wanting him to rest key players in cup games when he has continued to field his best side. Surprising then that given Cortese's league ambitions he hasn't cottoned on to this fact or discussed it with Pardew. Makes me wonder when Pardew and Cortese will get around to agreeing the correct approach to this season. One thing is absolutely certain IMO is that the last thing we need is a change in any management personnel upstairs or down but I remain very concerned about the sudden urgency from Cortese about the league when I was under the impression promotion from this league wasn't being considered an objective until next season. What has changed? Is Cortese and Mr Liebherr in it for the long haul or do they see an opportunity for a 3 year rise to the Premiership and a chance to realise a significant return on their investment leaving us open again to charlatans and LBOs?
  18. He was slower but he was full of tricks that rarely paid off a bit like Papa tonight especially second half.
  19. Perhaps that is a sign of how poorly we played overall when it comes down to some first time passes and one on one headers and shouldn't he track back well anyway? Our full backs were more worthy IMO and beyond them we were much of a muchness.
  20. Common Benji, I'll give you workrate and commitment but intelligent anything and link play? He is a hardy perennial with regards offside although tonight was clearly a late spring and link play? He gives the ball away to cheaply IMO. He has played far better than tonight and a hive of industry does not always make a worthy contribution. Forget the shin pad - no use to me now as I just realised Antonio used the club's entire supply of sock tape tonight.
  21. BWP and Waigo have a lot in common lots of trickery and running around (admittedly BWP did it more slowly) but both flattered to deceive and both better as subs. I wasn't sitting behind anyone tonight and a nice change of scenery and perspective.
  22. Lets face it he is a breeze block with a head and limbs. Should be a permanent fixture in our defence IMO.
