  1. In what respect ? A fit kelvins not good enough for this league either ?!?
  2. Can you name a club that has improved to our levels without significant investment ?
  3. TBH Hoovield was god aweful last year, how anyone said he wasnt probably weren't watching closely enough IMO, as much as Yoshi has performed badly this year his poorer performances last year were when he was partnered with the positionally poor hoovield. As per getting the best out of the squad, of course that will go so far, pergaps players such as Ramirez can perform to his ability, change the taxtics to utilise Ossie better and ask Shaw why he isnt as dominant as he was last year but all in all we have seen the replacements arent good enough. Nobody is asking for wholesale changes but it was obvious that a GK was vital in the summer and we have seen how that mistake has worked out.
  4. As much as I agree its a poor decision not to buy a backup keeper at the very least I do find this post as one of your more over the top responses. As of the moment I cant figure out if you are trying to personify corperal jones or are indeed just WUMing again. Firstly the way we are playing, sitting in 9th place in the second year in the prem (should probably be higher if not for injuries) how that isnt an improvement on our league 1 position only in our recent history I dont know. Then it is the crazy suggestion that we should sign someone on the off chance that we may lose key players to big bids. Well, that is just absolute madness, if we have the cash to do that then surely (and I expect this to happen) we will be saying nobody is leaving this window ? I must admit Alps what a stonker of a flappingly hysterical post this is.
  5. Personally I still think a GK is a priority, not necessarily to replace Boruc but certainly to replace the other two. Other than that itll be nice to secure a CB and being very greedy either Hughes or De Bruyne
  6. No I think he is a good player that fits the system, none of our striking options are particularly prolific and for me thats because of the system we play taking less chances and utilising a possession at all costs attitude. He has plenty of ability, I certainly dont want to lose him.
  7. Its better than longbread
  8. Of those two Id be looking at the LG, dont write off that Samsung its a brilliant TV at a decent price, ok your two inches shorter than you want but I think we can all admit we would put up with that. You have to get a Smart TV or else you will wish you did moving forward I think, plus 3D is a bit gimmicky but good to have a potentially gaming will use it in the future plus Sky do some good 3d stuff every so often. Just dont rush into anything, I nearly bought the 40" LG option of the above (or v similar) but it was sold out, glad I took the time to look at reviews though and settled on the samsung I posted earlier, V happy with 3D babestation.
  9. Pretty sure Inter said at the start of the TW that Guarin isnt going anywhere, besides what do we need another CM ? Also if anyone really thinks we will give up on ossie after 6 months then they are mental
  10. http://www.trustedreviews.com/samsung-ue40f6400_TV_review Worth the little bit extra IMO 475 in currys
  11. Not really they are different players and the team is set up differently because of that. Ultimately though Im still more worried about Boruc
  12. Well considering an uninjured Kompany is arguably the best CB in the world then him. Skrtel is up there as a maybe as is Vertonghan. I do think Lovren is very very good, he is the one Im really worried about losing considering that Utd, Chelsea, arsenal and liverpool are potentially going to look for CBs soon.
  13. Where this does make sense, surely there are plenty of people that would be turned by what I imagine would be a very large amount of money waved in their general direction if they decided to 'spill the beans?' The other theory is that gay sportsmen are so worried about coming out that they do not follow up their feelings ? What is needed is a couple to come out during their career so that it is destroyed as a taboo, as I said before this really shouldnt be news and personally I dont think the medias sensationalism of it makes matters worse.
  14. So what if you had (flawed I know) evidence that said person sat on a train was a suicide bomber ?
  15. A stat used by idiots for idiots
  16. Im not sure we need a striker or an attacking midfielder more then we need defensive cover in the form of a keeper and a L sided CB tbh
  17. Id definately take a punt on Ince, but we need a keeper desperately and a defender if we have cash left over
  18. Just watched the duggan family speech, can someone fill me in on what they mean by 'no justice, no peace ?'
  19. Thanks for this, Im sceptical whether the egg will arrive in one piece, did you pay for special delivery ?
  20. Yup, was very highly rated if training ground reports are anything to go by.
  21. Again though they had evidence claiming he was a bomber and had viable evidence claiming an attack was very real, added to the fact that he ran from armed police and refused to stop on multiple occasions. It was tragic, but hardly unnacceptable, if you put thr shoe on the other foot and he got away and blew up 100s of people then there would be incredible public outcry to the incompetance of the force.
  22. Indeed, I personally dont feel there is much of a keeper in there, nothing that I have seen of him proves there is. Of course confidence is always a big issue and is often misunderstood, having suffered a bout of under confidence as a player for over a year its a very real issue and coaching doesnt solve it. Perhaps we can send Gazza out to regain some confidence in himself however again most confidence sufferers you can see talent is there (see Hart/Torres) but with Gazza I dont. Going into the replacement arguement I find it astonishing. As I said before I can understand keeping Fox and relying on Jos/Yoshi as in reality I think Yoshi is good enough and Jos should only be required in extreme cases (god knows what happened) and similar with Fox as realistically you have Shaw, Chambers, Clyne to cover the positions with Fox as backup. Both reserve keepers however are just terrible, why this was missed is incredible.
  23. Of course there is a balance, I fully agree with the second analogy. Though the US must be another place within which policing must be incredibly difficult considering the ease of gaining a firearm there. I suppose this means that those less trained would eventually be given firearms due to the dangers which has its own obvious issues.
