  1. Boruc Clyne Lovren Fonte Shaw Morgan Wanyama JWP Ramirez Lallana Osvaldo This has the potential to be a good game, anyone got any idea how long Yoshi has left until fit ? Though Fonte hasnt done much wrong so far TBH.
  2. See Id have rated him about 7, without the ball he works hard and fits what we do from a pressing persective. I agree he could have had a hattrick, everyone was wastefull yesterday. He was better than Lambert IMO
  3. Defensively we look solid, keeping possession very well. I was originally dissapointed that Cork was displaced so easily by VW but watching him its obvious why. He is such a dominant midfielder that it removes the necessity to play with 3 defensively minded midfielders and frees up Schneiderlin to help out the attack. We still struggle to break teams down, though as I have thought before I think its more because of Lamberts lack of dynamic movement in and around the box, I think PDO will change that. Chambers and Shaw look v solid defensively, Clyne gave a different element when he came on though helping to give an extra dimension around the box. As impressed as I have been with CC I think Clyne coming back is a good thing as the majority of our width comes from the FBs. JWP is an exceptional talent, was v impressed with him last year but he has definately kicked on. His dead ball delivery, ball retention and overall game is excellent for a lad of his age, his vision, composure and movement is very very exciting to watch. J Rod, dont get what all the fuss is about, I didnt see this poor game everyone is talking about ? was unlucky not to get two goals today, he could have had a hattrick but certainly looked dangerous to me and works well in the tactics, presses well and causes teams a headache. Lambert, like J Rod wasted chances IMO. You can see his quality, but today wasnt his day. Touch off, lack of movement. Id have taken him off and left AL on to increase fluidity around Sunderlands parked bus. Ramirez, the boy has what it takes, hopefully we will start to see it more often. Lovren, a class above, you can see it in everything he does, composed, assertive, classy defender. John O'Shea is an arguementative, niggly, horrible lump of average footballer. Overall, we need to get more clinical, its all well and good winning and keeping possession but we need to have that extra gear around the oppositions box.
  4. Am I the only one that thought J Rod didnt have a bad game ?
  5. Starting to feel my age Monk me old mucker, tight hamstrings, tight calves, bruises all up my shins, dead thigh. The blister was just the iceing on the cake. I need to stop playing the box to box midfielder role I think, perhaps talk my manager into making me a lazy CF or something. Cheers for all the advice guys, people keep telling me to pee on it !!
  6. Yeah, covered it in Iodine (ouch) and then bought some compeed heel plasters. Shoukd make it ok tomorrow, a certain amount of manning up will be needed !
  7. Will it dry it up though ?? Dont mind the pain as long as I can run tomorrow
  8. Not entirely sure why J Rods getting so much stick, he was involved in almost everything going forward yesterday ?
  9. So, was the first game of the Hampshire league yesterday and my new boots have given me the worst blister on my heel. I got another game tomorrow and coukd do with getting rid of this blister today. Anyone know any quick remedies ? Or ways to get around it ? Heard of vinegar, iodine and duct tape so far.
  10. As much as Lambert is a constant threat I thought he was poor yesterday, even his normally so assured touch was off. I wondered if nerves started due to the new man and the imminent england announcement
  11. Whilst a man on the post woukd have certainly helped, leaving Gianchieri unmarked was fatal, it wasnt even like it was particularly good movement on his part either !!!
  12. Thought he did ok with what he was asked to do, fits the system welland works hard. Certainly played better than Lambert for me today.
  13. Now that we have a mobile striker, that can play off the ladt man we can arguably capitalise on winning the ball high up the pitch and transitioning quickly into an attacking area, the full backs overlap and provide width out wide which will put balls into the box for Lambert or osvaldo. Attacking wise we set up as so -----------GK----------- ----CB ---DM---CB---- FB-----DM---AM------FB ----AM----ST----AM----- But it obviously looks a lot prettier, and obviously it doesnt always happen that way but essentially thats the transition This is also how we press high up and attempt to stiffle the counter attack, obviously you can see why the system is susceptible to the longball and probably why Wanyama is here Posted that the other night, its basically 4231 defending and 343 attacking
  14. Good finish but by the rules he was off.
  15. What did you think of Lambert Roge ? Out of interest ?
  16. Said before, he reminds me a lot of Wilshere when he burst on the scene, energy, composure and assurity. If he carries on the way he has he will be a top top player. Im certainly excited about the way we blood our youngsters, Chambers, JWP, Shaw all look very confident and having seen Isgrove on occasion I know he has the quality to step up aswell.
  17. Im going for a 2-0 win, I think we have too much for a newly formed sunderland this early in the season. Looking forward to seeing Osvaldo in action though
  18. You make it too easy TBF
  19. It has been has been known
  20. Why did you go from being a tit, then changing your name and being ok, and the resorting to being a tit again ?
  21. I wouldnt expect you to understand TBF
  22. Good signing for QPR, though its all about harry making needless signings blabla bla
  23. Basically this FWIW But as much as Weston has covered everything I said earlier and more you dont really need me to repeat it so I wont bother, that said, you were not AWOL as they replied to your email and so knew exactly where you were, you were 'late' or I woukd push for 'ill' as you were not in a fit state to work. That said I think the union rep will have a decent time fighting your case so you will be ok. Do yourself a favour though and ensure you get an earlier bus.
  24. All about the POMO, just get into 'em then get it into the mixer for the big man to stick it in
