No idea, personally I thought we had galvanised over the past few weeks, and honestly believed we were ok. This new guy doesnt speak english, and Adkins was a massive favourite with the players. It has the possibility that this could be disastrous. We very well could do better, we could well be ok, but it is definately a risk. I get attempting to appoint a coach that is 'arguably' better than we have, but why not do it in the summer ? Why do it during an upturn in form ?

Whether this turns out to be a good move or not it matters not. I agree, certsin situations call for big decisions to be made, and yes this really could be for the good for Saints guys... BUT if you are man enough to make those big decisions you need to be man enough to stand by the strength of your convictions and be judged on them. Adkins certainly doesnt deserve to be treated that way. Happy with where Saints are, happy to progress but not happy that we are chaired by a cowardly, despicable little c*nt

Exactly this, I just dont get it. Obviously he has gambled due to it being the TW and Pochitinho is not a bad manager but it still screams as madness. Perhaps its going to work out for the best in the long term but right now I am fuming. He may not be able to hit the ground running yet ?!? And as Chez said, how will the players react ?

Much the same way as pompey tried and failed, much easier for bigger clubs to cover their losses and IMO our summer window was no where near as bad as you tend to negatively exagerate. If and when Forren is signed I would say thats a decent start and makes us probably one player short (wide man) of it being a window we needed, anything else a definate bonus. I love the fact that the majority of transfers esp for big clubs do not happen at the start of the window but towards the end, when the negotiations are done and all other avenues explored. I would rather we signed the right man instead of putting an expensive body on the squad registration which turned out to be poor

Unfortunately it is best to just ignore any negative rumours out of hand, its best that way. Lets all look at the situation, I highly doubt the axe is about to swing for Adkins head, but he is only a losing streak away from the bottom three and inevitable relegation, Cortese would be branded an idiot should he not have other options in that situation, yet it is madness that Adkins could possibly be under review ?
