Never really met any of you really, well, I know Stevo, and worked with Simo I think. Played football in a Saintsweb game against Watford with a pulled Hammy, the9 tried to outdo me but I pulled a volley out in the end to show everyone who was boss. I was on the Banter that sprung up here for a while, got invited over, Aidsvictim, Stevo and crabby was there, cant remember the rest, have some proper images from that site that Ill never forget FFS Would be good to have somewhere for some banter though, I dont mind the odd serious post but the idiots on here grind you down at times and the minute you make some retort you get Chalet up your ass

Was never on SaintsForever, shame as I heard the bants was pretty good there. I started on the mongboards basically here as SS, it was good when I first joined, plenty of banter, I remember rucks with SRS and willgolf or whatever his name was that ended up in him banned, feel a bit bad about that now but was a classic thread that. Its a shame this place got so OTT I wish they woukd just leave atleast the muppetshow as some no holds barred slagging match, would breath some life into the forum. They could say members only in there and any posts come with an exclusion.

He would probably have kept us up but not sure he was able to deliver what Cortese wants from us in the long term TBH. You could tell it was his first foray into prem Management put it that way, made a few mistakes which cost us some valuable points but TBH he was slowly moving in the right direction and learning. IMO he wasnt getting the best out of our better players in Gaston and Rickie and probably isnt a big enough attraction for exciting new imports. All in all its unfortunate but not unexpected, if not now I would have imagined him to go in the summer. Fwiw saying he was out of his depth is a bit melodramatic but to think he could have done any more than scraped survival is also drivvel IMO Btw players and managers always have the odd dpat, it comes with the teritory

Still think we could have at least stolen a draw at Manure and a win at stoke should we have kept playing the way we were playing instead of trying (and failing) to go defensive despite the fact we are or atleast were terrible in that area. Messing about with Boruc, keeping faith in Davis and failing to play in a way that would get the best out of Lambert and Ramirez ? I think he would probably keep us up but certainly our future is with a bigger name IMHO The run up to WBA was dire, and even in our decent run we had abject performances

True but I think we will, my main sadness when Adkins left was for him as a person and the way he was treated, it wasnt necesarilly because I thought he coukd take us to Europe etc. He made an aweful lot of mistakes I felt, and himself cost us a few points. Yes he was learning but he isnt quite the polished article at thislevel yet. He never really got Rickie in the right positions often enough, in fact I have said a few times I just dont think he has had a great season so far but mainly because we have not played a way that gets the best out of him. Ramirez too, why oh why was he not played in his best position more often ? He is such a player, and Monday showed how good he is when used properly. A couple of games too, Utd and Stoke spring to mind, we didnt need to go defensive yet that is what happened and invited pressure, esp when we were not on top as a defensive unit anyway and Davis was in goal. It was a good start Monday, and I know that you cant tell all from one game but his tactics were spot on, we were working so hard and he seemingly was getting the best out of our two best attacking players in Gaston and Rickie. If he gets time to work on us we will start to look V good. A few transfers too and we could be purring. Thats the other thing too, Poch has a big name for himself in the game, players will come to him where they perhaps wouldnt for Adkins Anyone who comes personally recommended by Balague (sp) and Mourinho is no mug

Poch said that we DIDNT necessarily need players in the jan window but IMO expect us to move for Butland and a wide man, heard rumours that we are looking at potential LB targets aswell. We really dont need more than that right now
