TBF guys, most have you have probably read my posts, i am not a knee jerker and have very much kept the faith up until now. That is because imo we can no longer reach the playoffs, and this is half way through the season. If we had gave it a good go and just missed out fair enough, but we have won 10 wins out of 26, that is a terrible record for a team of our quality, what should we do as a team ?? I don't know, i am not paid silly money to make those decisions. I don't care about the FA Cup and only really care about the JPT as it will be a good day out, as less face it, when or perhaps if we make it back up to the CCC/Prem nobody will give two hoots about that achievement any more. I don't really even care about the Skates, just don't want to lose it. We should be doing all we can to push ourselves onwards, yes the club has moved forward behind the scenes but i can't see how our miserable league form is justification to 'we are moving forwad on the pitch'

Was gonna say the same thing Unfortunately i just cannot see that as an arguement for contentment of staying in league 1

Not for a squad of our quality compared to the league we are in. Would that be ok for any of Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal etc in the premiership ?? Or even within context would it be ok for Leeds, Norwich or Charlton ?? If it happened to them it would be a widespread opinion on here that they are underperforming, so why can people blindly not accept that we are ?

6 out of 26, too many draws. I can agree to that though, we are not losing too many games which is a good thing, we just need to turn that corner, get a cutting edge back. People say that playoffs were a pipe dream but i don't agree, the players purchased who came in and did the business from the off should have seen us competing by now, but we haven't. I can see the arguement that people are putting forward in that this was perhaps a consolidation year, i just can't see how many wrote off the playoffs.

If you are ignoring the first 8 games you can also count out the win against yeovil. which makes it 9 in 17, still not great reading is it ??

Why does everyone on this forum use data not even involved to attempt to win an arguement ??? Me and Delldays are talking about the league, in which we have won 10 out of 25, 10 !!! So please don't attempt to use the cup results as part of this flawed form guide ffs. So yes, 10 wins out of 25 imo is **** poor.

Our form for the WHOLE of this season equates to 1.54 points a game, not 2 and not any other number that gives your arguement more credance than it deserves. How can you give a statement like yours without using actual facts ?? We don't know how we would have started the season under any other circumstance than the one we did, it could have been worse. Fact is, your arguement is not based in reality and lacks credance, anyone can pluck useful data and use it to their advantage, as you did and as i did earlier. Fact is, over THIS season we have an average pts per game of 1.54, and fact is that just isn't good enough. Now, HTH, i know some struggle

I do agree with that assessment. But we do use height to our advantage, Barnard is good at holding the ball up and will make himself a nuisence to defenders but in different ways to the strong and tall Lambert. Without Lambert we will lose a dimension of our play, and with our other dimension slowly deteriorating by not allowing morgan time on the ball and crowding lallana out of games our chances are becoming limited.

I don't think they are similar at all tbh. I think it brings us back to similarities between brett and beatts. We just need to stop playing the long hoof and get a few crosses into the box. I think we really needed to sign a big man that could come in and cover lambert when he is injured or knackerd, i can't see how pards cannot see this

If we miss playoffs this season it is a major disapointment, If we miss automatic next season with the money spent now, norwich,charlton and leeds probably out of the equation and as most of you lot keep saying 'a settled team' it will be catastrophic. If we only make the playoffs and fail in promotion it will be a f*cking disgrace.

Nick this is just a wind up and pretty useless, you can't prove that our form would have started like that at the start of the season and tbh it means sh*t, as it didn't From our last 6 games we have recieved an average of 1.33 points per game. If i then do some rather ghey mathematics and come up with a calculation of that form over a season we get 61 points, that would leave us 13th from last years results. So you see it is pretty much where you apply your maths, which makes this thread pretty redundant. The team we have now should be performing better, end off

He has played every minute and by his own admission is working harder in training than he has ever done, for a man that was clearly not used to this and out of shape i can see how he could become jaded. I do see your point though clarkey, but the times i have seen him he has began to look unlike his early season bright self

Of course it does. Look at the squad we have and compare it too other league one clubs. We have last years top goal scorer up front. A CB from CCC that has been said could possibly play at a higher level. A goal keeper that almost signed for west ham. We definately need more strength in midfield, that i have been saying for ages and i think most of us will agree.

Not losing is only looking at one dimension of the arguement though, you need to look at both sides. We didn't have a bad pre-season and to be honest had a good team early enough in the season. We have only won 10 games out of 25, is this good enough ??? No, no it isn't. That is my negatives, and tbh if anyone is entitled to be a little negative once in a while it should be me, as normally i am pretty positive !!!!!

TBF guys, i can't use the 'what would have happened' scenario as an excuse for our poor performance this year. People keep banging on about how you can't always buy success or what not but ignoring the money look at the quality in our side ?? We shouldn't be where we are and many of us ambitious fans get abused for wanting to see us chasing the playoffs, as a team of our quality should be !! We are 4 points from the relegation zone ffs !!
