Disappearance of this once great club is a very distinct possibility. I don't think I could ever really support/follow another club again.

What are the chances that Ru**rt and friends will try to buy Jackson Farm for pennies on the dollar from the administrator? The cynic in me believes that to e a really good chance.

From the Times: "Rupert Lowe, the executive chairman of Southampton Football Club’s debt-laden parent company, and most of the other members of its board have resigned in anticipation of the business going into administration today. "
-
Good response. Completely agree.
-
According to The Times the whole PLC board, with the exception of Jones, has resigned. No mention of the football club's board. They also hint that Norwich Union may be willing to forgive the debt owed to them?

OK, then puke and get over it. Language sir, just language.

Sanctimonious comments by him. As usual.
-
Let me see: a chance to invest in a business with an inferior product, no clients to speak of, and a mountain of debt. Should be easy enough to find someone.

Nothing yet on the Echo site

No! Not resign. Executed more likely!

Not even close.

We had a chance. It’s not too long ago that those of us with even a grain of common sense, in other words the vast majority of fans, finally managed to get rid of the cancer on our club that is Ru**rt Lowe. It took protests, it took a plane with a banner, it took pressure from the press, but we managed to get rid of him. Or so at least it seemed. Our knight in shining armor Michael Wilde rode in on his stallion to save us. I admit that I, along with many others, believed his “spiel”, which eventually was proven to be a grave error. That was no white stallion he rode in on, it was a Trojan Horse! For a while it looked like it was maybe possible for us to save ourselves when we had a true fan (with money that he was actually willing to spend) taking command. By the skin of our teeth we survived another season and there was reason to hope. Then the Trojan Horse opened up and Quisling came out, pushing Ru**rt once more into the fray. The hope is gone, and now there is nothing left but the eulogy. We had a chance …. Way back when ….. We blew it.

The day that Ru**rt became involved with this great club was the start of our slow agonizing death. The day that the Quisling showed up I had great hope, but like so many who supported him, I was betrayed. This club has been killed by a man (I use the term loosely) without a spine and by a sanctimonious, arrogant, full of himself, incompetent, manipulative, egotistical bastard! Rest In peace Saints. I will always remember what you once were.

amen!
-
Thank God that Quisling brought Ru**rt "the miracle business man" back in! That really saved us! Thank you both, traitors!
-
neither of us will be in the championship next season :-(
-
It's not just the fact that the club would have to approve the "nomination committee" that makes this a sham, the use of the word "parliament" is also a gross misnomer, unless and until such a body gets real decision making powers, which will of course never happen. It's a complete PR exercise!
-
Who should we praise? Are you serious? praise for what? For running the club into the ground? Praise for not killing the club of completely? Praise for performing way below acceptable levels?
-
I think the committe should be balanced between critics and supporters of the current regime. So I would nominate Crouch, Mary Corbett, and Chorley as nominees for the "anti Lowe" side. Then just for balance I suggests that Quisling drops the pretense and just nominates his own 3 members
-
Too right!
-
Ru**rt to the Quisling, about a month ago: " Go and create a 'parliament' for fans. Make sure that it is populated only with people who support me, so that we can then show all dissidents to be the lunatic fringe." Quisling replies: "Yes master, I'll make sure that the members of this fan's parliament are nominated in a process that looks open, but actually selected by us. Also, I'll make sure that no powers of any kind will be assigned to this parliament."

From playing chess under JP, with pretty passing, but no end result, we have now gone to hoofing under Chocolate man, also without any end result. Such is progress.

I would be lying

no matter how I play with it, I can only see relegation for us :-(
