Remaining positive will be your mainstay in getting through this. You realise that from the outside things do seem very bad down there. It's like almost every day there's a new revelation about somebody or something.

A classic Leon Haywood tune!

If there are three crapper teams than yours can you tell me what positions they are in at this moment in time. Are they all going to be losing players to Africa in January? Are various members of their ownership and directors missing? Are these three teams in a deep financial mire, as in not being able to pay wages and borrowing money to pay off loans? As in mortgaging their anticipated SKY money? If they are all in a worse condition than your team then things will definitely look better for you.

Let's hope it'll soon be all over, bar the shouting.

It'll be lonely this Christmas at the bottom. Ho Ho Ho! Where is he?

I recall, quite a few years ago now, the Echo showing pictures of American tanks, lorries etc. with all the troops parked up along either Burgess Rd or Bassett Green Rd? I should imagine that they were parked up all over the city during busy times in the conflict.

Nothing wrong at all. However, what about the guy in the club who tries to stare you out any time you walk in? Never says a word to you all year. Then, Christmas Eve dinner time session, he wants to put his arm around your shoulder and say something like 'How are yer mate? 'Av a beer wiv me'. 'Oh yes please you fine fellow' NOT.

Indeed, those defeated had just seen their best Lords & horsemen driven into the cloying mud and drowned under the weight of those still fighting.

My birthday is 24th September. My dear Mum's? 23rd December! Maths is an interesting subject.

I think, maybe, that the family see their message finally getting through?

'We've still got our fingers!'

When Henry VI took some of Hampshire's finest bowmen with him on that sailing. Rumour says that they became so renowned and feared that the French vowed to remove the two bow fingers from these men's hands if they were captured. As the defeated French straggled by they were regaled by the bowmen waving their two, intact, fingers at them! http://www.information-britain.co.uk/famdates.php?id=206

Tongue. In. Cheek?

This is so true How many clubs were there queueing up for these, and other, players then? To sell players you need a team interested in them!

As an employee in the motor industry I find it sad news. As 19C rightly says, SAAB had that 'quirkiness' about their style and to me their vehicles always looked like they were in an evolutional stage of development. Never quite 'getting there' but nonetheless having a decent level of style and functionality. I sincerely hope that Big John is right as his summation of GM is bang on the money. Similarly, look how Ford improved things, generally, for AM etc but ended up selling the brand on.

Of course they've already had the Rix farce a few years ago!

I really do hope that we beat Dirty Leeds on Saturday BUT I'd not be too disappointed to draw or even lose a close game. It will not be the end of the world.
