So you want him to word his replies to the journo in a way that makes it crystal clear to the paranoid among us that nobody is leaving! There was absolutely nothing (nada, zilch, rien) in that piece that suggested that key players would be leaving, and there would be no reason for him to confirm that clearly if the question from journo did not warrant such a clarification. He was merely saying that we are close to a couple (maybe three) signings but if they don't come off before the start of the season he is still happy with what we have....that is it - end of!

I have been trying to think of which side of the fence I am on with this, and have come to the conclusion that whilst some of NC's alleged policies, decisions, feuds etc are a tad disturbing, he is still taking what I believe to be the most important thing (the football team) in the right direction for the time being. I am therefore unwilling to join the anti-NC brigade because an alternative with no money and no future is too frightening to contemplate. No NC at SFC = no ML at SFC. I therefore have a slight head in the sand attitude, and I suspect I am not alone.

I suspect that would be easier said than done though, and even if it was possible I very much doubt ML would do anything other than let his man decide what is best rather than interfere. That is how it appears to me anyway. The rights and wrongs of such a ban can be argued all day, but if the owner gives an individual the power to do whatever he wants, then the test of us have to like it or lump it.

Well, since I know he responds, I would email Dave Luker directly. That would not be the norm for me with all issues with other companies though - I would only get to that point when the normal route is proving to be a waste of time.

I think you need to read the article again to see some of the examples of players who would may be omitted from squads....like Craig Bellamy, Roque Santa Cruz, Stephen Ireland etc....proper premiership players left out in the cold.
